• ⭐ 2,250 W at 240 V is 9.4 amps, and a standard 10 A lighting circuit carries 2,400 W. ⭐⭐ THIS APPLIANCE IS 94% OF THAT CIRCUIT ON ITS OWN.
• ⛔ IT NEEDS A DEDICATED CIRCUIT AND NOTHING ON THE LISTING SAYS SO. ⭐ Tell your electrician the real figure before the walls close — adding a circuit at rough-in is routine, adding one afterwards means chasing walls.
• ⚠ Its sheet also states 2,250 W in the spec table and 2,150 W in the prose, ⭐ which six of the seven heaters that state both figures do. ⭐ The prose reads as boilerplate carried from the 2,150 W model. ⭐ Immaterial in practice — both are about 9 amps.

⭐ Six functions, and two of them are genuinely different

• ⭐⭐ DRY HEAT IS THE ONE MOST PEOPLE WILL USE WITHOUT REALISING IT MATTERS. ⭐ Running the heater with the extraction off puts warm air into the room instead of pulling it out — ⭐ which is what you want for drying towels, or warming the room before a shower rather than during one. ⭐ A conventional unit that always extracts while it heats is fighting itself.
• ⭐ THE SWAY OUTLET OSCILLATES, spreading the warm air rather than aiming it at one spot. ⭐ The practical benefit is that the room warms more evenly and nobody stands in a hot column while the rest of the space stays cold.
• ⭐ Both are premium-line features; the standard-line TROPIX and THERMAFLOW models offer four functions without them.

⭐ The PTC element, and why it is worth naming

⭐ The element is PTC — positive temperature coefficient. ⭐⭐ ITS RESISTANCE RISES AS IT HEATS, SO IT SELF-LIMITS AND CANNOT RUN AWAY THERMALLY the way a bare wire element can. ⭐ In a ceiling cavity full of insulation, with dust and lint accumulating over years, that is a meaningful safety property rather than a marketing line. ⭐ It also means the unit reaches its working temperature quickly and holds it without cycling hard.

⚠ 595 × 280 mm and 7.3 kg — a framing job

⭐ The cutout is 595 × 280 mm in a 615 × 315 mm fascia — about 20 mm of cover each way. ⭐⭐ A 595 mm CUTOUT IS LONGER THAN THE CLEAR GAP BETWEEN JOISTS AT 450 mm CENTRES, ⭐ so it will almost certainly need a joist trimmed and noggins added — carpentry before electrical. ⚠ At 7.3 kg it must be fixed to framing rather than plasterboard. ⭐ Check the joist direction and spacing before ordering; the cutout is the one dimension that cannot be corrected once cut.

⭐ IPX2, and where it may sit

⭐ The rating is IPX2: the X means solids were not rated, and the 2 means protection against dripping water at up to 15° tilt. ⭐ That is the lowest water rating in common bathroom use, and it places the unit in a ceiling position outside the shower zone. ⭐ Normal for a heater — it needs airflow through it, and a sealed heater is a contradiction — but it means the rating decides the position rather than where the heat would be most welcome. ⭐ Confirm the zone with your electrician against the current wiring rules.

⭐ The light: 1,500–1,850 lumens

⭐ 1,500 lm at 3000 K, 1,850 at 4000, 1,750 at 5000, CRI ≥80. ⭐ THAT IS ENOUGH TO BE A BATHROOM'S MAIN LIGHT in most rooms — ⭐ unlike the round THERMAFLOW's 950 lm. ⚠ CRI ≥80 is adequate for general bathroom use and not for close colour work, so a higher-CRI vanity light is worth having if anyone does makeup in the room. ⭐ An 8-switch digital wall controller, 3 m flexible duct and exterior grille are included.
