DOMUS TRIM-303 33X33 RECESSED TRIM

The Domus TRIM-303 is a 330 × 330 mm recessed plaster trim for the 303 series LED panel — an 18 W panel giving 1,100 lumens, IP44, with switchable 3000 K / 4000 K / 6000 K.

What the 303 panel is, and where it goes

An 18 W LED panel in a 295 mm square, 10 mm thick — a natural anodised aluminium frame with an opal diffuser.

• ✅ It drops straight into a standard T-bar grid ceiling in place of a tile. That is the primary use, and it needs no trim at all: offices, retail back-of-house, commercial corridors.
• ✅ With this recessed plaster trim it can go into a plasterboard ceiling instead — which is what makes it usable in a kitchen, laundry or hallway at home.
• ✅ A surface-mount or wire-suspension kit is also available (Domus code SM-KIT303-W) for ceilings that cannot be cut at all — concrete, or a rated ceiling that must stay intact.

Why a panel rather than downlights

• One aperture instead of four. A single 295 mm panel at 1,100 lm covers a kitchen or laundry that would otherwise take three or four downlights — fewer holes, less installation, one thing to clean.
• Even, shadowless light. The opal diffuser spreads the whole surface, so there are no scallops on the walls and no bright spots to look at.
• ⚠ It is a flat, functional light. A panel reads as commercial — deliberately so. In a living room it will look like an office; in a kitchen, laundry or utility space it looks right.
• ⚠ At 10 mm thick, the panel is very slim, but the recessed frame still needs depth above the ceiling. Check the void.

The numbers

• 1,050 lm at 3000 K, 1,100 lm at 4000 K, 1,150 lm at 6000 K.
• 61 lm/W, CRI ≥80, high-efficiency SMD, 50,000 hours.
• IP44 — splash resistant, so usable in a laundry or a bathroom outside the shower zone, subject to your electrician and AS/NZS 3000.

Choosing the colour

• 4000 K — the default for a kitchen, laundry, office or corridor.
• 3000 K — where the panel is visible from a living area.
• ⚠ 6000 K — a strong daylight white, colder than the 5700 K most of this catalogue uses. Workshops and inspection areas only.

• T-bar grid ceilings — offices, retail back-of-house, commercial corridors.
• Plasterboard kitchens, laundries and hallways — with this recessed trim.
• Concrete or rated ceilings — with the surface-mount or suspension kit.
