The Domus TRAK 3-circuit track is a 1 metre surface-mount lighting track for 240 V, in black or white, carrying three independently switched circuits.

⛔ We cannot publish this track's current rating, and it is the figure that decides your whole layout.

Domus's own description says the system is “capable of high power loads” — but no ampere rating appears in the datasheet or in our record, and neither does a maximum load per metre. Without it, nobody can work out how many fittings a run will carry.

Tell us the fittings you intend to hang and the total run length, and we will get the rating from Domus before you commit to a layout. On a track job that calculation comes first, not last.

What three circuits actually buys you
  • Three separately switched circuits share one physical track. Each fitting is set to one of the three when it is clicked in.
  • ✅ One run of track, three lighting scenes. In a retail fit-out: window, general, feature. At home over an island: task lights on one circuit, pendants on another, accent on the third.
  • ✅ You can change your mind later without an electrician. Moving a fitting along the track, or switching it to a different circuit, is a hand job once the track is live.
  • ⚠ Three circuits means three switched supplies at the feed. That is more cable and more switching than a single-circuit track — worth confirming with your electrician before the walls close.
Surface mount, and the modularity
  • This is the 1 metre surface-mount length, fixed directly to a ceiling or a wall.
  • ✅ It can be installed at any height, including suspended, which is how it is usually used over an island or in a room with a high ceiling.
  • ✅ The system is modular — other lengths, joiners, feeds and end caps make up a run. Tell us the total length and shape and we will list the parts, because a track run is never just track.
  • IP20 — indoor only.

How many fittings can I run on it?

We cannot tell you yet, and that is the honest answer. The current rating and the maximum load per metre appear in no source we hold — not the datasheet and not our record — even though Domus's own description calls the system "capable of high power loads". Tell us the fittings you intend to hang and the total run length and we will get the rating from Domus before you commit to a layout. On a track job that calculation comes first.

What does "3-circuit" mean in practice?

Three separately switched circuits share one physical track, and each fitting is set to one of the three when it is clicked in. That gives you one run of track and three lighting scenes — in retail, window, general and feature; over a kitchen island, task lights on one circuit, pendants on another and accent on the third. It also means three switched supplies at the feed, so confirm the wiring with your electrician before the walls close.

Can I move the fittings later?

Yes, and that is the main reason to choose track. Sliding a fitting along the track or switching it to a different circuit is a hand job once the track is live — no electrician, no patching, no new holes. It is why track suits galleries, retail and any room whose use will change.

Can it be suspended rather than fixed to the ceiling?

Yes. It can be installed at any height, which is how it is usually used over an island or in a room with a high ceiling. This particular part is the surface-mount 1 metre length; suspension kits and the other parts of the run are separate items.

What else do I need besides the track?

A track run is never just track — you will need a feed, end caps and, for anything other than a single straight metre, joiners. Tell us the total length and the shape of the run and we will list the parts, so nothing turns up missing on the day.

Can it go outdoors or in a bathroom?

No. It is IP20, indoor dry areas only. Track carries exposed conductors by design, so this is not a rating to work around.

Is track the right choice for a home?

It depends on whether you want to see it. Track is visible and reads as deliberate or commercial — there is no half-measure. Where the room's use will change, where the ceiling cannot be cut, or where you want to aim light and then adjust it after seeing it in place, it is the right answer. Where you want the lighting to disappear, it is not.

Warranties

For all warranty claims please ensure you have your proof of purchase at hand, an invoice from your electrician from the installation and check the faulty product is within the applicable warranty period. Warranty is replacement only.

Lights For You is not responsible for damages caused by unprofessional installation, modified products or manipulated by the customer or by any other person not authorised by the manufacturer; as well as by improper use, manipulation and/or short circuits, apparent signs of improper treatment.

Faulty items: lodge warranty directly with the brand (manufacturer). Keep proof of purchase.

Damaged or Missing Items

Notification of any damages or missing items must be received by Lights For You within seven (7) days of receipt of the product. Please email photos to ashfield@lightsforyou.com.au.

If the product is to be repaired or replaced, it must correspond to the one originally sent by Lights For You and the customer must include the delivery note and/or invoice.

Returns

Change of Mind Returns

  • Customers who wish to return a product due to a change of mind or cancelled order may do so within thirty (30) days of receipt.
  • The customer is responsible for the shipping costs for a change of mind return, irrespective of any free, discounted or any other type of shipping promotion that may have been applicable at the time of your order. This includes any costs you incur for us shipping the product to you in the first place and the cost of shipping the product back to us.

Our Rights

We reserve the right to refuse a return in cases where we cannot be reasonably satisfied that you purchased the product from us or where we are not responsible for the damage in accordance with our Faults & damages policy.

Cancellations

Customers who wish to cancel all or part of an order due to change of mind or incorrectly ordered may do subject to cancelling in within 12 hours, during business hours from time of purchase. Once products have been shipped, you cannot cancel them.

  • Restocking fee: 20% will apply unless otherwise stated, or unless another order of equal or greater value is placed in lieu of this re-stocking fee.
