The Domus THOR-PRO-23 is a recessed adjustable LED downlight — 23 W, CRI ≥90, 36° beam standard, Ø100 mm cutout, switchable 3000/4000/5000 K, in white or black.
| Colour temperature | White | Black | ⭐ Difference |
|---|---|---|---|
| 3000 K | 2,000 lm | 1,700 lm | ⭐ −15.0% |
| 4000 K | 2,100 lm | 1,800 lm | ⭐ −14.3% |
| 5000 K | 2,000 lm | 1,750 lm | ⭐ −12.5% |

| ⭐ THOR-PRO 23 W — this | ⭐ −13.9% |
| THOR-PRO 15 W | ⚠ −1.4% |
| SLENDA 250 / 300 / 400 mm | −2.6% / −0.2% / −6.7% |
⭐ The same 23 W head is available recessed (this), surface mounted and as a 3-circuit track head — ⭐ with the same 62 mm diameter cover and 170 mm housing throughout. ⭐⭐ THAT IS MORE USEFUL THAN IT SOUNDS ON A FITOUT. ⭐ A shop with a plasterboard ceiling in one area, a concrete soffit in another and track over the display run can use one light source throughout, so the beam, the colour and the rendering are identical everywhere. ⭐ Mixing three different fittings to solve three mounting problems is the common alternative and it shows.
⭐ Fully dimmable with a suitable dimmer. ⭐ The family description also emphasises stable, flicker-free operation — ⭐ which in a retail setting matters beyond comfort, because flicker is what makes phone and camera footage of a shop look poor. ⭐ Anywhere customers photograph the product or the space, it is worth specifying. ⭐ Confirm the dimmer type with us before ordering; a mismatched dimmer is the usual cause of flicker on an otherwise sound fitting.
⭐ 50,000 hours at commercial duty of 12 hours a day is roughly eleven years. ⛔ No warranty is published on this listing. ⭐ On a commercial fitout the warranty term and whether it distinguishes residential from commercial duty is worth having in writing before ordering — several Domus ranges make that distinction and this listing does not say. ⭐ Ask us.

Recessed adjustable LED downlight. 23 W at 240 V AC. White 2,000/2,100/2,000 lm; black 1,700/1,800/1,750 lm. 3000/4000/5000 K switchable. CRI ≥90. Beam 15°, 24°, 36°, 45° or 60° (36° standard). Ø100 mm cutout. 62 mm cover, 170 mm CNC aluminium housing. Dimmable, flicker-free. IP20. 50,000 hrs. ⭐⭐ THE BLACK FINISH COSTS 13.9% OF THE LIGHT HERE — the largest gap measured in this programme, and on a scheme designed to a lux target that is roughly one fitting in seven. ⭐ BUT IT IS NOT A RULE: the 15 W model shares the same 62 mm housing and differs by only 1.4%, which rules out geometry as the explanation just as the SLENDA range ruled out reflectance. Across five models in two families the gap runs 0.2% to 13.9%, so it must be read PER MODEL. ⭐ On this one, design to the black figures if you specify black.
Supplied and supported by Lights For You.
About 14% — 15.0% at 3000K, 14.3% at 4000K and 12.5% at 5000K. That is the largest black/white gap measured anywhere in this catalogue, and on a scheme designed to a lux target it is roughly one fitting in seven. Budget for it or specify white.
No, and this family proves it. The THOR-PRO 15W shares the same 62mm housing and differs by only 1.4%. Across five models in two unrelated families the gap runs from 0.2% to 13.9%.
We are not offering a mechanism. The 15W and 23W sharing a housing and differing by 12.5 points rules out fitting geometry, just as the three SLENDA sizes ruled out simple reflectance. What we can say is that the published figures are real and must be read per model — on this one, design to the black figures if you specify black.
Because in a shop, colour rendering is what makes stock look like itself. Fabric, food, timber and skin all read wrong under CRI 80. At 23W with CRI ≥90 this is a genuine retail specification rather than a general-purpose fitting.
15 degrees is a spot for a single object, a plinth or a piece of art — and unforgiving if the aim is slightly off. 24 to 36 is display lighting for a shelf bay, a table or a counter run. 45 to 60 is general lighting for circulation or an office. From a 3m ceiling to a 1m display surface, a 36 degree beam lights a circle about 1.3m across and a 60 degree beam about 2.3m. Choose the angle from the object, not the room.
On a fitout with mixed ceilings, a great deal. A shop with plasterboard in one area, a concrete soffit in another and track over the display run can use one light source throughout, so the beam, the colour and the rendering are identical everywhere. Mixing three different fittings to solve three mounting problems is the common alternative and it shows.
In retail, yes — beyond comfort. Flicker is what makes phone and camera footage of a shop look poor, so anywhere customers photograph the product or the space it matters. Confirm the dimmer type with us before ordering: a mismatched dimmer is the usual cause of flicker on an otherwise sound fitting.
