A suggestion, not a specification. A calculator can get it wrong — have a licensed electrician confirm the driver, the total load and the wiring before you order.
The Domus PLEX-COB-20-IP67 is a silicone-coated, true dotless COB LED strip drawing 20 W per metre from 24 V DC, with 640 LEDs per metre, CRI ≥90 and IP67. Sold per metre in 3000 K or 4000 K.
✅ This is the version to use where water is a real possibility — soffits, pergolas, covered outdoor kitchens, boat sheds, and anywhere the indoor IP54 strip would be the wrong call.
⚠ And here is the trade-off nobody publishes: the silicone coating costs about 15% of the light.
| IP67 (this) | IP54 indoor | |
|---|---|---|
| 3000 K | 1,520 lm/m | 1,800 lm/m |
| 4000 K | 1,700 lm/m | 2,000 lm/m |
Same 20 W, same chip, same LED count — the coating absorbs the difference. ✅ Do not specify the IP67 indoors on the assumption it is simply the better strip: where water is not a factor, the IP54 gives more light for the same power and the same money's worth of driver.
The datasheet covers 3000 K, 4000 K and 5000 K. This listing stocks the 3000 K and the 4000 K.
✅ For outdoor and wet-area work that is rarely a limitation — 3000 K is almost always right under a soffit or a pergola, and 4000 K covers the task cases. If you need the 5000 K, ask us and we will find out whether it can be ordered.
⛔ This strip does not switch colour. There is a separate part number per colour temperature, and our record's colour-changing flag is wrong. ⚠ Our record also lists 24 V as this strip's output voltage; it is the input.
Silicone-coated COB true-dotless LED strip, 640 LEDs per metre, 20 W per metre, 24 V DC, IP67. Sold per metre. Output 1,520 lm/m (3000 K), 1,700 lm/m (4000 K) — ⚠ about 15% below the IP54 version at the same wattage; the coating absorbs it. ⛔ Colour temperature is fixed per part number. CRI ≥90, 180° spread, 50,000 hrs. Cuttable every 25 mm, wired in parallel. ⛔ Requires a 24 V DC constant-voltage LED driver — not included; dimming is done by the driver. ⚠ Cut ends and joins must be sealed to keep the IP67 rating. ⚠ Maximum run length from one feed is not published — ask us. ⚠ The datasheet lists a 5000 K; this listing stocks 3000 K and 4000 K. Warranty 3 years.

Water decides it, and there is a real cost to choosing wrongly. Use the IP67 for soffits, pergolas, covered outdoor kitchens and anything that can be rained on or hosed. Use the IP54 indoors — because at the same 20 W per metre the silicone coating on the IP67 absorbs about 15% of the light: 1,520 lumens per metre at 3000 K against 1,800 on the indoor version. Do not specify the IP67 indoors on the assumption it is simply the better strip.
No. IP67 covers temporary immersion — a soffit in driving rain, a hosed step nosing, a pergola — not permanent submersion. It should not sit in standing water. For anything underwater, ask us and we will point you at a product rated for it.
Yes, and this is where outdoor strip installations usually fail. A silicone-coated strip cut and left unsealed is no longer IP67 at that end. Tell us the run and we will supply the end caps and joiners with it rather than have you discover the gap on the day.
UV is a separate question from water, and worth raising with us. A strip tucked under a soffit is in a very different position from one running along an open pergola beam in full unshaded sun. Tell us where it is going and we will say whether the position is sensible.
No — it needs a 24 V DC constant-voltage LED driver, bought separately. Outdoors the driver also needs a suitable enclosure of its own, so tell us where it will live as well as how long the run is, and we will specify both.
Not published in any source we hold. At 20 W per metre a five-metre run draws 100 W, and run too far from one end the far end is visibly dimmer. Tell us the length and we will size the driver and set the feed points. Running at 24 V rather than 12 V already halves the current for the same power.
The datasheet covers a 5000 K as well, but this listing stocks the 3000 K and 4000 K. For outdoor and wet-area work that is rarely a limitation — 3000 K is almost always right under a soffit or pergola and 4000 K covers the task cases. If you specifically need the 5000 K, ask us and we will find out whether it can be ordered.
