The Domus PLEX-COB-20-IP67 is a silicone-coated, true dotless COB LED strip drawing 20 W per metre from 24 V DC, with 640 LEDs per metre, CRI ≥90 and IP67. Sold per metre in 3000 K or 4000 K.

⚠ Only two colours are stocked here

The datasheet covers 3000 K, 4000 K and 5000 K. This listing stocks the 3000 K and the 4000 K.

✅ For outdoor and wet-area work that is rarely a limitation — 3000 K is almost always right under a soffit or a pergola, and 4000 K covers the task cases. If you need the 5000 K, ask us and we will find out whether it can be ordered.

What IP67 actually permits

• Protected against temporary immersion, not merely splashing. ✅ That covers a soffit in driving rain, a pergola, a covered outdoor kitchen, and a step nosing that gets hosed.
• ⚠ Temporary is not permanent. It is not a pond or pool strip, and it should not sit in standing water.
• ⚠ The ends and the joins are where IP67 is won or lost. A silicone-coated strip cut and left unsealed is no longer IP67 at that end. Tell us the run and we will supply the end caps and joiners with it.
• ⚠ UV is a separate question from water. In full unshaded sun, tell us — a position under a soffit is very different from one on an open pergola beam.

What “true dotless” changes

• 640 LEDs per metre on a COB chip, with the diodes under a continuous phosphor layer instead of as separate packages.
• ✅ A line of light, not a row of dots — and outdoors that matters as much as indoors, because a strip under a soffit is usually seen from below at a shallow angle where scalloping is most obvious.
• ✅ CRI ≥90 keeps timber decking, stone and render reading as their real colours rather than a flat wash.
• ✅ Longer weldless sections mean fewer joins — and outdoors, joins are where installations fail first.

The driver, and the figure nobody publishes

• ⛔ Requires a 24 V DC constant-voltage LED driver — not included, and outdoors the driver needs a suitable enclosure of its own. Tell us where it will live.
• ⛔ Maximum run length from one feed is not stated in any source we hold. At 20 W/m a five-metre run draws 100 W, and run too far from one end the far end is visibly dimmer. Tell us the length and we will size the driver and set the feed points.
• ⚠ Dimming is done by the driver. The datasheet says “fully dimmable with suitable LED driver and dimmers” — all three parts have to agree.
• Cuttable every 25 mm, wired in parallel.

Colour is chosen once

⛔ This strip does not switch colour. There is a separate part number per colour temperature, and our record's colour-changing flag is wrong. ⚠ Our record also lists 24 V as this strip's output voltage; it is the input.

• ✅ Step nosings and handrails that get hosed or rained on.
• ✅ Bathrooms and wet rooms where the indoor rating feels marginal.
