Domus PLEX-COB-15-IP67 - 15W LED Per Metre 640LED True Dotless Striplight IP67 24V - DRIVER REQUIRED

The Domus PLEX-COB IP67 is a true dotless 24 V LED strip for wet and outdoor installations — 15 W per metre, 640 LEDs per metre, 1,275 lm per metre, CRI above 90, silicon coated. A 24 V driver is required and not included.

✅ “True dotless” — what 640 LEDs per metre buys

Ordinary LED strip has visible individual diodes: close up, or in a shallow channel, you see a row of dots and a scalloped line.

• COB — chip on board — packs 640 LEDs into every metre under a continuous phosphor layer, so the emitting surface is a line, not points.
• ✅ That means it works in a shallow channel, close to a surface, or behind a clear diffuser, and still reads as an unbroken line.
• ✅ Outdoors that matters more than indoors: a step nosing or a handrail is seen at close range, and dots would be obvious.

Planning a run

• 15 W per metre. Multiply by the run length and add 20% for driver headroom. Ten metres = 150 W of load, so a 200 W driver.
• Cutting increment: 25 mm. Cuts land on the marked points, so a run finishes on the nearest 25 mm.
• ⚠ Every cut end must be resealed on an IP67 strip. Cutting breaks the silicon coating, and an unsealed end in a wet position is where the water gets in. Ask us for end caps and sealant when you order.
• Parallel wiring — sections connect across the driver, not end to end.
• ✅ 24 V rather than 12 V means less resistive heat and longer possible runs before voltage drop dims the far end.
• ⚠ Tell us the run length and we will tell you where to feed it — sometimes from both ends.

✅ CRI above 90, and why it earns its keep outdoors

Strip is almost always used on a surface chosen carefully — stone, timber decking, rendered walls, planting. A CRI 80 strip washing a sandstone step makes it look flat and grey; above 90 it reads as the stone it is. CRI 90 is high for LED strip, and outdoors it is the difference between a lit surface and a washed-out one.

Choosing the colour, since it is permanent

⚠ The three variants are three FIXED colour temperatures. You buy 3000 K, 4000 K or 5000 K and it never changes. Our record flags this product as colour-changing; it is not.

• 3000 K — warm. Timber decking, sandstone, brick, and anywhere it sits alongside warm garden lighting. The usual right answer outdoors.
• 4000 K — neutral. Grey render, concrete, and modern palettes.
• 5000 K — cool. Commercial and task.

⚠ Order the whole job at once, in one batch — small variations between production runs show where two lengths meet.

• Outdoor joinery, decking, step nosings and handrails.
• Alfresco, pergolas, pool surrounds and planters — IP67.
• Bathrooms and wet rooms.
• ⛔ A 24 V driver is required and not supplied.
• ⚠ Reseal every cut end, or the rating is lost at that point.

Specifying it

15 W per metre, 640 LEDs per metre COB, true dotless, silicon coated, giving 1,140 lm/m at 3000 K and 1,275 lm/m at 4000 K and 5000 K. CRI ≥90, 180° beam, 50,000 hrs. 24 V DC constant voltage — a driver is REQUIRED and NOT supplied; parallel wiring; cutting increment 25 mm, and every cut end must be resealed. Dimmable via a suitable dimmable driver. Colour temperature is FIXED at purchase. IP67 — dust tight, temporary immersion. Also in 5, 10 and 20 W/m, and an IP54 indoor version. Warranty 3 years.
