A suggestion, not a specification. A calculator can get it wrong — have a licensed electrician confirm the driver, the total load and the wiring before you order.
The Domus PLEX-COB-15-50M is a 24 V COB LED strip — 15 W per metre, 640 LEDs per metre, 180° beam, IP54, dimmable, 50 m roll.
| What the roll actually commits you to | ⭐ Count |
|---|---|
| Separate runs | ⭐ 10 — ⭐ or 5 fed from both ends |
| Drivers, ≈90 W each | ⭐ 10 — ⭐ or 5 |
| Live cable connectors | ⭐ 10 — ⭐ or 20 if fed both ends |
| Feed points and cable routes | ⭐ 10 |
| Driver locations to find | ⭐ 10 — ⚠ or one room housing all of them |
| Total connected load | ⭐ 750 W |
⭐ Does all fifty metres need to be 15 W? ⭐ At 5 W per metre the same fifty metres is 250 W rather than 750 — ⭐ a third of the load, and the lower current reaches further, so fewer runs and fewer drivers as well. ⭐ All four wattages carry the same 640 LEDs per metre and look identical. ⭐ So splitting a job — 15 W over the benches, 5 W everywhere else — costs nothing visually and saves a great deal of infrastructure. ⚠ Buying one roll at one wattage is the simplest order and rarely the best design.
⭐ A 50 m roll is a single production batch. ⭐ White LEDs vary slightly between batches, and across ten runs in one building that variation would be visible where two runs meet at a corner or face each other across a room. ⭐ Buying the whole job from one roll removes it. ⚠ If the job needs more than fifty metres, ask us for consecutive rolls from one batch — ⭐ free to request, impossible afterwards.

COB LED strip, 50 m roll. 15 W per metre at 24 V DC, 750 W total. 640 LEDs per metre, dotless. 3000 / 4000 / 5000 K. 180° beam. IP54. Dimmable. Ten drivers at approximately 90 W. 3-year warranty. ⭐⭐ AT FIFTY METRES THE STRIP IS THE CHEAP PART. 750 W across TEN runs means ten drivers, ten connectors, ten cable routes and ten driver locations — and none of those figures is on the listing, because the wattage is per metre, the length is in the title and the run limit is in the family description. ⭐ THIS IS AN INFRASTRUCTURE PURCHASE, which changes who needs to be in the conversation. ⭐ AND THE QUESTION THAT HALVES IT: does all fifty metres need to be 15 W?
Supplied and supported by Lights For You.
More than the strip. Fifty metres at 15W per metre is 750W, and at a 5 metre single-feed maximum that is ten separate runs — so ten drivers at about 90W each, ten live cable connectors, ten feed points and ten driver locations to find. None of those figures is on the listing.
Because the pieces live on different pages. The wattage is per metre, the length is in the title, the run limit is in the family description, and the connectors are on separate listings. Nothing joins them up, so the totals only appear when someone works them out.
At fifty metres this is not a lighting purchase, it is an infrastructure one. The strip is the simple part; the ten drivers, ten cable routes and 750W of connected load are the project. That is worth knowing early, because it changes who needs to be in the conversation — an electrician and possibly a services engineer, not just a specifier choosing a colour.
One question halves it: does all fifty metres need to be 15W? At 5W per metre the same fifty metres is 250W rather than 750 — a third of the load — and the lower current reaches further, so fewer runs and fewer drivers as well. All four wattages carry the same 640 LEDs per metre and look identical.
Usually, yes. 15W over the benches and 5W everywhere else costs nothing visually and saves a great deal of infrastructure. Buying one roll at one wattage is the simplest order and rarely the best design. Tell us what each run is doing.
Yes, and at this length it matters. A 50m roll is a single production batch, and white LEDs vary slightly between batches — across ten runs in one building that variation would be visible where two runs meet at a corner or face each other across a room. Buying the whole job from one roll removes it.
Ask us for consecutive rolls from one batch. It is free to request and impossible afterwards — once the rolls are shipped, matching them is a matter of luck. On a whole-building fitout it is the single most valuable thing to ask for.
