Domus PIPE-60 - 21W/31W Linear Pendant IP40 - TRIO

The Domus PIPE-60 TRIO is a 60 mm linear pendant — 21 W or 31 W, 1.2 m or 1.7 m, full wrap-around opal diffuser, remote driver included.

⛔ Its title says IP40. It is IP20.

• ⭐ The title carries “IP40”. ⛔ The specification field says IP20, and the supplier's own description says “IP Rating (IP): IP20”. ⭐ Two independent sources against the title, so the title is the error.
• ⭐ What actually changes between them is smaller than it looks, and worth knowing precisely:
  • IP20 — ⭐ protected against solid objects above 12.5 mm (a finger). ⛔ No water protection.
  • IP40 — ⭐ protected against solid objects above 1 mm (a wire, a screw). ⛔ Still no water protection.
• ⭐ So NEITHER rating permits a damp location. ⭐ The practical consequence of the error is small — you were never going to hang this in a bathroom either way. ⚠ But a specifier working from a schedule of IP ratings would record 40 and be wrong, and on a project where the schedule is audited that matters.
• ⭐ Specify it as IP20, dry interior only.

• ⭐ A 60 mm tube with a FULL WRAP-AROUND opal diffuser — ⚠ not a downward-facing strip in a channel. ⭐ So it glows all round and reads as a lit line from every angle, including from below at a table.
• ⭐ Osram LED boards — ⚠ very few fittings in this catalogue name their emitter, ⭐ and a named one is a binned one, which is what keeps colour consistent between fittings.
• ⛔ The driver is included but REMOTE and mounted separately — ⚠ the ceiling needs an accessible spot for it, decided before the ceiling closes.
• ⛔ Non-dimmable. ⚠ Over a dining table that is a real limitation — ⭐ the level is set by the fitting and the drop height, not adjusted afterwards.
