The Domus PARK-120-DIFF is a 1200 mm LED batten — 15 W or 30 W switchable, tri-colour, prismatic polycarbonate diffuser, IP20, in three sensor options.

  • ⭐ The on/off sensor saves marginally more energy and is the wrong choice almost everywhere people walk. ⭐ You approach a dark space, the light comes on when you are already in it — ⚠ which is uncomfortable in a corridor and genuinely unsafe on stairs or in a carpark, where you are judging a step or a kerb in the moment before it triggers.

⭐ Microwave, not infrared — and why that matters here

⭐ Domus specifies a microwave sensor. ⭐ Microwave detects MOTION through detecting reflected radio waves, so it works through thin materials and is not confused by temperature — ⚠ where an infrared sensor detects heat difference and struggles when the space is near body temperature. ⭐ In a hot carpark in summer, infrared can simply stop seeing people. ⭐ Microwave does not have that failure mode, ⚠ but it can trigger through a thin partition, which is worth knowing if the fitting backs onto a corridor.

The dimming sensor holds a low level continuously and lifts on presence, so you can always see where you are going.

Does dimming save much less energy?

Nearly as much, because the standing level is a fraction of full output. On/off saves marginally more in absolute terms, but the difference is small and the safety and comfort difference is large. Use on/off where nobody walks in cold — a storeroom entered from a lit space, a plant room, a cupboard.

What is SENSOR-INT-01?

The programming accessory, sold separately, and required to change any default setting on either sensor model. Order it with the first batch: a sensor left on factory defaults is the commonest complaint about sensor lighting, and without the accessory nothing can be adjusted.

Why a microwave sensor rather than infrared?

Microwave detects motion through reflected radio waves, so it works through thin materials and is not confused by temperature. Infrared detects heat difference and struggles when the space is near body temperature — in a hot carpark in summer, an infrared sensor can simply stop seeing people. Microwave does not have that failure mode.

Is there a downside to microwave?

It can trigger through a thin partition, because the same property that makes it robust also makes it less contained. That is worth knowing if the fitting backs onto a corridor or an adjacent room, where the lighting might respond to someone who is not in the space at all.

What is the dual-wattage switch for?

15W or 30W, selected at the driver. If the area turns out too bright, press the switch to halve the output. It is physical and set once per fitting, so decide before the electrician leaves — but it means an over-lit space becomes a switch press at handover rather than a change of fittings.

What is not published?

The lumen output, the sensor detection range and the hold time. The last two matter for spacing — detection range decides how far apart the fittings can be before there is a gap where nothing triggers. Ask us and we will get them from Domus before you lay out a carpark.

Warranties

For all warranty claims please ensure you have your proof of purchase at hand, an invoice from your electrician from the installation and check the faulty product is within the applicable warranty period. Warranty is replacement only.

Lights For You is not responsible for damages caused by unprofessional installation, modified products or manipulated by the customer or by any other person not authorised by the manufacturer; as well as by improper use, manipulation and/or short circuits, apparent signs of improper treatment.

Faulty items: lodge warranty directly with the brand (manufacturer). Keep proof of purchase.

Damaged or Missing Items

Notification of any damages or missing items must be received by Lights For You within seven (7) days of receipt of the product. Please email photos to ashfield@lightsforyou.com.au.

If the product is to be repaired or replaced, it must correspond to the one originally sent by Lights For You and the customer must include the delivery note and/or invoice.

Returns

Change of Mind Returns

  • Customers who wish to return a product due to a change of mind or cancelled order may do so within thirty (30) days of receipt.
  • The customer is responsible for the shipping costs for a change of mind return, irrespective of any free, discounted or any other type of shipping promotion that may have been applicable at the time of your order. This includes any costs you incur for us shipping the product to you in the first place and the cost of shipping the product back to us.

We reserve the right to refuse a return in cases where we cannot be reasonably satisfied that you purchased the product from us or where we are not responsible for the damage in accordance with our Faults & damages policy.

Cancellations

Customers who wish to cancel all or part of an order due to change of mind or incorrectly ordered may do subject to cancelling in within 12 hours, during business hours from time of purchase. Once products have been shipped, you cannot cancel them.
