The Domus PANEL-BLT-306 is a 300 × 600 mm backlit LED panel — tri-colour switchable, 2200–2350 lm, IP20, with a harmonic filter for flicker-free operation, in Trio or DALI.
| If the power is… | Efficacy | ⭐ Verdict |
|---|---|---|
| ⛔ 16 W | 138 / 144 / 147 lm/W | ⛔ Exceptional — ⚠ well above what a backlit panel achieves |
| ⭐ 25 W | ⭐ 88 / 92 / 94 lm/W | ⭐ Ordinary and entirely credible |
⭐ An edge-lit panel puts the LEDs around the rim and pushes light across a guide plate. ⭐ A BACKLIT panel puts them across the whole back, firing forward through the diffuser. ⭐ Backlit gives a more even face with less fall-off at the centre, and it generally reaches better efficacy because the light travels a shorter distance through less material. ⚠ It is also the reason a backlit panel needs some depth — ⭐ the LEDs need room to blend before they reach the diffuser, exactly as a strip does in a profile.
⭐ Two variants exist: Trio and DALI. ⛔ The dimmable field says “No”. ⭐ DALI is a dimming protocol, so a non-dimmable DALI fitting is a contradiction in terms. ⭐ The sensible reading is that the field describes the TRIO variant only, and the DALI variant dims — ⚠ but confirm which you are ordering, because it decides whether the ceiling needs a control cable.

300 × 600 mm backlit LED panel troffer, 595 × 295 mm. 25 W at 220–240 V. 2200 / 2300 / 2350 lm at 3000 / 4000 / 5700 K, DIP switch on the power cable. IP20. Powder-coated white trim, opal diffuser. Harmonic filter, flicker-free. Trio or DALI. 3-year warranty. ⛔ THE HANDLE SAYS 25W AND THE POWER FIELD SAYS 16W, AND THE LUMENS ARBITRATE: at 16W the published output would be 138–147 lm/W, exceptional for a backlit panel; at 25W it is 88–94 lm/W, entirely ordinary. ⭐ SIZE THE CIRCUIT AT 25W. ⛔ It also publishes dimmable=No while selling a DALI variant — the field almost certainly describes the Trio only.

25W. The web address says 25W and the power field says 16W, and the published lumens settle it: Domus publishes 2200, 2300 and 2350 lumens across the three colour settings. At 16W that would be 138 to 147 lumens per watt, which is exceptional and well above what a backlit panel achieves. At 25W it is 88 to 94 lumens per watt, which is ordinary and entirely credible.
Circuit loading and running cost. A backlit LED panel typically runs between 80 and 110 lumens per watt, so 25W lands squarely in that band while 16W would put this panel well outside it. Size the circuit at 25W — under-sizing a commercial circuit by a third is the mistake worth avoiding. That is reasoning from the published figures rather than a Domus statement.
An edge-lit panel puts the LEDs around the rim and pushes light across a guide plate. A backlit panel puts them across the whole back, firing forward through the diffuser. Backlit gives a more even face with less fall-off at the centre, and it generally reaches better efficacy because the light travels a shorter distance through less material.
That depends which variant you order, and the listing is contradictory about it. Two variants exist, Trio and DALI, while the dimmable field says "No" — and DALI is a dimming protocol, so a non-dimmable DALI fitting is a contradiction in terms. The sensible reading is that the field describes the Trio variant only and the DALI variant dims. Confirm which you are ordering, because it decides whether the ceiling needs a control cable.
Flicker. Domus fits a harmonic filter to reduce total harmonic distortion, which reduces flicker and strobing. The practical benefit is on camera: standard drivers that are not flicker-free produce a rolling band effect in video recordings, which this removes. In a room used for video calls or recording that is a genuine specification point. No flicker percentage is published, so it is a claim without a number attached.
A 300 x 600mm T-bar grid module — the panel measures 595 x 295mm to drop into it. It suits offices, corridors and consulting rooms. It is IP20, so dry interiors only.
The 606 is the square module at 35W and takes the same family features — same tri-colour switching, same harmonic filter, same T-bar or plaster-kit mounting. Choose by the grid you have: a 300 x 600 module for corridors and narrower bays, a 600 x 600 for open-plan and general office ceilings.
