The Domus NEO-PRO 35W SM is a 35 W tri-colour switchable downlight — IP65, DALI, anti-glare deep-set frame, in white or black. ⭐ The largest of the three.
| Ceiling | Typical choice | Why |
|---|---|---|
| 2.4–2.7 m domestic, corridors | 13 W | ⭐ Close to the task; ⚠ 35 W here would glare |
| 2.7–3.5 m commercial, retail | 25 W | ⭐ The general-purpose choice |
| 3.5 m and above, or high-level task | ⭐ 35 W — this one | ⭐ The distance penalty is severe |
⛔ Title: surface mounted, remote driver. Body: “LED recessed downlight”, “integrated dimmable LED driver with flex & plug”. ⭐ One call to Domus settles all three wattages.
| Specification | Value |
|---|---|
| Power | ⭐ 35 W at 240 V — the largest of three |
| Colour temperature | Tri-colour switchable, set at the fitting |

| Optics | ⭐ Anti-glare deep-set frame, frosted diffuser |
| Finishes | White (21398) or black (21399) |

35 W tri-colour switchable LED downlight. 240 V. IP65. DALI, dimmable with suitable dimmers. Anti-glare deep-set frame with frosted diffuser. White or black. ⭐ NO LUMEN FIGURE IS PUBLISHED ON ANY OF THE THREE WATTAGES, so choose by ceiling height instead — light falls off with the SQUARE of the distance, so going from 2.4 m to 3.6 m cuts what reaches the floor to roughly a QUARTER. ⭐ 13 W domestic, 25 W commercial, 35 W at 3.5 m and above. ⚠ OVER-SPECIFYING IS NOT SAFE — 35 W low down glares, and dimming does not fix it.
Supplied and supported by Lights For You.
By ceiling height, because no lumen figure is published on any of the three. As a guide: 13W for 2.4 to 2.7m domestic ceilings and corridors, 25W for 2.7 to 3.5m commercial and retail, and 35W at 3.5m and above or for high-level task areas. Ceiling height is the better guide anyway.
Because light falls off with the square of the distance. Raise a fitting from 2.4m to 3.6m — half again as high — and the light reaching the floor drops to roughly a quarter, not to two-thirds. That is why a high ceiling needs a much larger step in wattage than it intuitively looks like it should.
No — that is a real mistake rather than a cautious one. 35W on a 2.4m ceiling produces glare and hard shadows, and DALI dimming does not fix it: a dimmed bright source is still a bright source at the aperture, which is what the eye actually sees. Choose the wattage for the height, then dim for mood.
Considerably. The deep-set frame recesses the LED up inside the housing, so you do not see the emitter from a normal viewing angle — which is the main cause of downlight glare. It reduces the problem rather than removing it, so it is not a licence to over-specify.
More small ones, spaced. Even light comes from spacing rather than from wattage — a single powerful fitting produces a bright pool and dark corners, where several smaller ones at proper centres produce an even wash. No spacing guidance is published here, so send us the room dimensions and ceiling height and we will lay it out.
Two, shared by all three wattages. The title says surface mounted with a remote driver; the body says "LED recessed downlight" with an "integrated dimmable LED driver with flex & plug". Surface versus recessed decides whether you cut a hole; remote versus integrated decides where the electrician puts a box. One call to Domus settles all three.
Under cover, yes — IP65 is dust-tight and rated against water jets from any direction, which covers eaves, soffits and covered outdoor areas as well as bathrooms and laundries. Note the metafield says "Indoor" while the description says the higher rating is specifically for wet areas, so confirm the exact position with your electrician.
