The Domus MURO-PRO-30 is a 30 W twin-head exterior spotlight in die-cast aluminium with a glass cover, IP54, switchable 3000 K / 4000 K / 5000 K, in black, dark grey or white.

✅ This is the plain version — no sensor, and it is smaller for it.

Choose this one where the light is switched — from inside, on a timer, or as part of a circuit. Choose the sensor version where you arrive with your hands full. Both give the same light.

⚠ It is 61 mm shallower than the sensor model. Beside a door frame or on a narrow wall that is the difference between neat and awkward.

The light
  • 1,900 lm at 3000 K, 2,100 lm at 4000 K, 2,000 lm at 5000 K from 30 W across two heads.
  • 120° spread per head — a wide wash rather than a beam. ✅ Two heads at 120° cover a whole driveway or back yard; ⛔ it is not the fitting for picking out a tree.
  • ✅ The heads aim independently, which is the practical advantage of a twin: one down a driveway and one across a side gate, from a single point and a single circuit.
  • Bridgelux LEDs, CRI ≥80, 30,000 hours.
IP54 and what it permits
  • Dust protected and splash resistant from any direction. ✅ Suitable for a wall, an eave, a carport or a garage approach.
  • ⚠ It is not IP65. On a fully exposed wall taking driven rain, or anywhere it will be hosed, ask us for a higher rating.
  • ✅ Glass cover rather than polycarbonate — it does not yellow or craze under UV, which is what makes cheap exterior fittings look tired after three summers.
⛔ It is not dimmable

The datasheet is explicit. The colour switch is a dip switch at the back of the fitting, set once at installation — it is not a control and it is not operated from a wall plate. Do not buy a dimmer for it.

Choosing the colour outdoors
  • 3000 K — a house entry, a courtyard, a carport. Warm light outdoors reads as light rather than as security.
  • 4000 K — the brightest of the three, and the right choice over a driveway or yard where you want the area to read clearly.
  • ⚠ 5000 K — security and commercial only. On a house it will read as a car park.
  • ⚠ Set the switch before it goes on the wall, and set both heads and any neighbouring fittings the same way.

Questions
What is the difference between this and the sensor version?

The sensor and the size. This one is switched — from inside, on a timer, or as part of a circuit — and it is 249 × 187 × 137 mm. The MURO-PRO-30S adds a 180° PIR sensor reaching about 12 metres and grows to 295 × 187 × 198 mm for it. Both give exactly the same light. Choose the sensor version where you arrive with your hands full; choose this one where you want the light on rather than triggered.

Is it a spotlight or a floodlight?

Functionally a floodlight. Each head throws 120°, so the two together cover a driveway or a back yard rather than picking out a single feature. If you want a tight beam on a tree or a wall detail, ask us for a spike light with a 40° or narrower optic instead.

Can I aim the two heads separately?

Yes, and that is the practical advantage of a twin — one down a driveway and one across a side gate, from a single mounting point on a single circuit. It saves a second fitting and a second cable run.

Can it go on a fully exposed wall?

IP54 is dust protected and splash resistant from any direction, which suits a wall, an eave, a carport or a garage approach. On a fully exposed wall taking driven rain, or anywhere it will be hosed, ask us for an IP65 fitting instead.

Can I dim it?

No. The datasheet is explicit and there is no dimmable driver option. The colour switch is a dip switch at the back, set once at installation — it is not operated from a wall plate and it does not vary the light in use.

Which colour temperature for a house exterior?

3000 K for an entry, a courtyard or a carport — warm light outdoors reads as light rather than as security. 4000 K over a driveway or yard where you want the area to read clearly, and it is the brightest of the three at 2,100 lumens. 5000 K is for security and commercial use and will make a house look like a car park.

Why glass rather than plastic?

It does not yellow or craze under UV. A polycarbonate cover on an exterior fitting looks tired after about three summers, and the light output drops with it. Die-cast aluminium with a glass cover is what you want on something mounted in full sun.

Warranties

For all warranty claims please ensure you have your proof of purchase at hand, an invoice from your electrician from the installation and check the faulty product is within the applicable warranty period. Warranty is replacement only.

Lights For You is not responsible for damages caused by unprofessional installation, modified products or manipulated by the customer or by any other person not authorised by the manufacturer; as well as by improper use, manipulation and/or short circuits, apparent signs of improper treatment.

Faulty items: lodge warranty directly with the brand (manufacturer). Keep proof of purchase.

Damaged or Missing Items

Notification of any damages or missing items must be received by Lights For You within seven (7) days of receipt of the product. Please email photos to ashfield@lightsforyou.com.au.

If the product is to be repaired or replaced, it must correspond to the one originally sent by Lights For You and the customer must include the delivery note and/or invoice.

Returns

Change of Mind Returns

  • Customers who wish to return a product due to a change of mind or cancelled order may do so within thirty (30) days of receipt.
  • The customer is responsible for the shipping costs for a change of mind return, irrespective of any free, discounted or any other type of shipping promotion that may have been applicable at the time of your order. This includes any costs you incur for us shipping the product to you in the first place and the cost of shipping the product back to us.

Our Rights

We reserve the right to refuse a return in cases where we cannot be reasonably satisfied that you purchased the product from us or where we are not responsible for the damage in accordance with our Faults & damages policy.

Cancellations

Customers who wish to cancel all or part of an order due to change of mind or incorrectly ordered may do subject to cancelling in within 12 hours, during business hours from time of purchase. Once products have been shipped, you cannot cancel them.

  • Restocking fee: 20% will apply unless otherwise stated, or unless another order of equal or greater value is placed in lieu of this re-stocking fee.
