The Domus MURO-ECO-10 is a 10 W exterior LED spotlight — IP65, tri-colour switchable, 100° beam, polycarbonate and glass, in black or white.

⭐ Its brightest setting is the middle one — which is unusual

• ⭐ Almost every tri-colour product we have measured in this catalogue rises steadily with colour temperature — ⭐ the vanity range gains 10–16% from warm to cool. ⚠ This one peaks in the middle and returns to the same figure at both ends.
• ⭐ The practical reading is easy, though: the difference is 5%, which nobody sees. ⭐ So on this fitting the colour setting is purely a colour decision — ⭐ choose it for how the light looks, not for how much of it you get.
• ⭐ For a garden or a wall wash, 3000 K is usually right — ⭐ warm light flatters planting and brick, and cool light on a garden reads as a security floodlight. ⭐ Take 4000 K where the job really is security.
• ⚠ Note also that this range switches to 5000 K, where the Domus vanity range goes to 5700 K. ⭐ “Tri-colour” is not one fixed set of temperatures across the brand.

⭐ Coastal, and what polycarbonate is doing here

• ⭐ Domus positions this for coastal areas, and the material choice is the reason. ⭐ A polycarbonate body has no metal to corrode — ⚠ where a die-cast aluminium fitting near salt air eventually blisters its powder coat and then pits underneath.
• ⭐ That is a genuine advantage within a few hundred metres of surf, ⭐ and it is why a plastic-bodied fitting can outlast a metal one in exactly the place people expect the opposite.
• ⚠ The trade-off is UV. ⭐ Polycarbonate in full sun can chalk and yellow over years — ⚠ which matters more on a white body than a black one, since yellowing shows against white. ⭐ No UV-stability figure is published.
• ⭐ IP65 means dust-tight and rated against water jets — ⭐ so it can go on an exposed wall, and it can be hosed. ⭐ That is a real step above the IP43 of the Domus post lights.

⭐ 30,000 hours, and what that means

⭐ Domus publishes a 30,000-hour life, which few fittings in this catalogue do. ⭐ On dusk-to-dawn running — roughly 4,380 hours a year — that is about SEVEN YEARS. ⭐ On a sensor, running only when triggered, far longer. ⚠ The warranty is 3 years, so the rated life is comfortably beyond the cover.

⛔ It is not dimmable

⭐ Stated plainly. ⚠ For a security or wall-wash spotlight that is rarely a problem, ⭐ but it means the level is set by choosing the fitting and its position, not afterwards.
