The Domus MAX-75 Recessed is an aluminium profile luminaire recessed into a ceiling, sold by the metre — 17.3 W per metre from a 75 mm-wide aperture, with 3000 K, 4000 K or tunable white and DALI and 0–10 V options. 3-year warranty.
Up to 10 business days for production before it ships.
| MAX-75 listing | Sheet profile | Record height |
|---|---|---|
| Recessed (this one) | ⛔ 75 × 75 mm | ⛔ 95 mm |
| Surface Mounted | ⛔ 75 × 75 mm | ⛔ 95 mm |
| Down Pendant | ✅ 75 × 95 mm | ✅ 95 mm |
| Up-Down Pendant | ✅ 75 × 95 mm | ✅ 95 mm |
⛔ 21 variants including DALI, 0–10 V and TUNABLE/DALI, on a listing recording
dimmable = No. ⭐ The base product is non-dimmable and control is a variant
choice; ⚠ a single yes/no field cannot say that, ⛔ so filtering on dimmable hides all 9 MAX
profile listings. ⭐ On a recessed run, choose the control before the ceiling
closes — retro-fitting means replacing a luminaire that is in the ceiling.
Recessed LED profile luminaire, sold per metre. 17.3 W/m. 2,466 lm/m (3000 K), 2,600 lm/m (4000 K). 3000 K, 4000 K or tunable white. Plain, DALI or 0–10 V. CRI ≥80. 120°. IP20. Profile 75 mm wide. Extruded 6063 aluminium. Flat opal-frost PMMA diffuser. Osram LED boards. 50,000 hrs. ✅ 3-year warranty. ⛔ Made to order — allow up to 10 business days. ⛔ ITS SHEET SAYS THE PROFILE IS 75 × 75mm AND ITS RECORD SAYS 95mm HIGH — plan on 95mm and confirm with us before committing to a void. ⛔ It records no power figure; the datasheet says 17.3W/m. ⭐ The MAX-75 is the low-glare choice, not the brighter one — same output as the MAX-50 from a 50% wider aperture.
Supplied and supported by Lights For You.
Its own sources disagree, and on a recessed product that is the figure that decides whether it fits. The datasheet says the profile is 75 × 75mm; the product record says 95mm high. Measured across the four MAX-75 listings, the two pendants agree at 95mm and the two profile listings disagree with themselves. So the weight of evidence favours 95mm — but we are not going to settle a ceiling cut-out on a majority vote. Plan on 95mm and confirm with us before you commit. If your void is between 75 and 95mm, that one call to Domus decides the job.
No. Same 17.3W per metre, same 2,466 lumens per metre — the difference is the aperture, 75mm against 50mm. The same light over 50% more emitting area is roughly a third less surface brightness, so the MAX-75 is the gentler product rather than the brighter one. Nothing in the catalogue says so, and a buyer would reasonably assume the opposite. Recessed, it earns its place in corridors and low-ceiling offices, where a narrow bright line in the field of view is what people notice and complain about.
17.3W per metre, from the datasheet. This listing records no power figure at all, where its siblings record 17W, 17.3W or — in the case of the MAX-50 recessed — 21W, which disagrees with its own sheet. Over a 10-metre run 17.3W per metre is 173W, and that is the figure to size a circuit or a driver on.
A parse fault in the document rather than a difference in the product. On this one datasheet the 4000K lumen figure has landed in the LED type field, so "Osram LED Boards" does not appear where it should. Every other MAX sheet names them and the prose on this sheet confirms it. It is the same light engine as the rest of the range — worth stating rather than quietly correcting, because the gap is in the paperwork and you should know that is what it is.
On the DALI or 0–10V variants, yes. The listing records dimmable as No because a single yes/no field cannot express a variant axis — nine MAX profile listings are the same, so filtering a catalogue on dimmable hides all of them. On a recessed run choose the control before the ceiling closes: retro-fitting means replacing a luminaire that is in the ceiling, which is a very different job from swapping a surface fitting.
Yes — a 120° beam from a recessed line washes floor and walls broadly rather than accenting, which is what a corridor or open office wants. Combined with the wider MAX-75 aperture it gives a notably comfortable result at low mounting heights. What it will not do is create contrast: for a display run or anywhere you want things picked out, this is the wrong distribution.
Not as a variant, but the datasheet lists integrated emergency and high-output LED boards as available on request. On a recessed run this is the option to settle before the ceiling closes — retrofitting afterwards means either opening the ceiling again or fitting a separate emergency luminaire alongside, which breaks a continuous flush line and rather defeats the point.
