Domus LUMALINE-2-900 Up/Down Wall light

The Domus LUMALINE-2 is a 900 mm linear up-and-down wall light — 34.5 W giving 1,328 lumens each way, in aluminium, black or white, with an opal PMMA diffuser. Indoor use — it is rated IP20.

✅ A 900 mm line of light, up and down — and why that is different

Most up/down wall lights are compact fittings throwing two cones. This throws two continuous bands the full 900 mm:

• ✅ No scallops. A point-source up/down light paints two arcs on the wall with dark gaps between fittings. A 900 mm line gives an even band top and bottom, which is what makes it read as architecture rather than as a light fitting.
• ✅ The LED strip is concealed behind an opal PMMA diffuser, so you see the lit surface and not the source — no glare at any angle, which is what allows it at eye level in a corridor or beside a bed.
• ✅ Designed with no visible mounting screws — a detail that matters on a fitting this size, and one Domus call out specifically.

1,328 lumens each way — what that actually does

• 1,189 lm at 3000 K, 1,328 lm at 4000 K, 1,347 lm at 5000 K — each way, so around 2,650 lm total at 4000 K.
• ✅ That is enough to light a corridor or a stairwell on its own, which most decorative wall lights are not.
• 110° beam — wide, so the bands spread rather than staying tight to the wall.
• ⚠ It is indirect light. The wall does the work, so a dark wall absorbs it and a light one multiplies it. On charcoal paint you will get far less than on white.

⚠ The colour is fixed at purchase

Our record flags this product as colour-changing. It is not. The nine variants are three finishes × three FIXED colour temperatures — the one you order is the one you keep.

• 3000 K — warm. Residential corridors, bedheads, hospitality.
• 4000 K — neutral. Commercial corridors, lobbies, stairwells — the usual default.
• 5000 K — cool. Clinical and back-of-house.

⚠ Order the whole job in one colour and one batch. Two LUMALINEs of slightly different colour on one corridor wall are obvious.

⚠ It does not dim

On a 2,650-lumen indirect fitting destined for corridors and hospitality, that is a real limitation and the first thing to check against your brief. If you need dimming, ask us — there are dimmable linear options in this range.

Mounting

• Mount it vertically or horizontally — a vertical 900 mm line beside a door or a bedhead reads quite differently from a horizontal band along a corridor.
• ✅ Close to the wall, as the fitting is designed — the bands develop up and down the surface.
• ⚠ Keep clear wall above and below. A cornice, a skirting or a picture rail will cut one band off and waste half the fitting.
• ⚠ Our record lists its height as 900 mm, which is its length — it is a linear fitting, and the orientation is yours to choose.

Where it works

• Corridors, lobbies and stairwells — enough output to light them alone.
• Bedheads and hospitality walls — no glare at eye level.
• Feature walls with a good finish — the bands show the surface.
• ⛔ Indoors only — IP20, despite the category.
• ⚠ It does not dim, and the colour is fixed at purchase.
