The Domus DRIVER-24V-SLIM-DIM is a 24 V DC constant-voltage LED driver with five dimming protocols — 30 W, 60 W or 100 W, IP20, indoor, supplied complete with 1 m flex and plug. 5-year replacement warranty.

Is this the driver my LYNX fittings need?

Yes, if they are the 12/24V versions — those require a "12V or 24V DC constant voltage LED driver, wired in parallel", and this is that driver. Worth saying because no LYNX listing names a driver and this listing names no fitting: both halves of the pairing are in the catalogue and neither points at the other. It also suits LED strip and profile, which is what its datasheet leads with.

How do I size it?

Add up the fittings' real wattage and leave headroom — running a driver at its rated maximum shortens its life. Be careful with the LYNX power fields, which record one emitter rather than the fitting: a 2 × 3W LYNX draws 6W, not 3. Six of those is 36W, which suits the 60W model comfortably. Tell us the fitting count and the cable run and we will size it with you.

Why does the efficiency figure matter?

Because 79% is low — a modern LED driver is usually 85 to 92% — and it has two consequences. A 100W load draws about 127W from the wall, so running cost is a quarter higher than the load suggests. Can I dim more than 100W?

Is 240V correct for this product?

Yes — that is the input. A driver takes 240V AC in and puts 24V DC out, so the 240V record is right here, and the output is recorded separately. Worth saying because twelve Domus fittings sold as 12V or 24V record the same 240V figure and there it is wrong. The same value is correct on a driver and dangerous on a low-voltage fitting.

Why do the voltage tolerance figures matter?

On a long strip run they are what stops visible brightness drift along the length. This driver holds ±0.5V tolerance and ±0.5% regulation, which is tight. Loose regulation shows up as the far end of a run being perceptibly dimmer than the near end — a fault that is impossible to fix after installation without re-running cable or adding a second feed. On short runs it matters much less.

Warranties

For all warranty claims please ensure you have your proof of purchase at hand, an invoice from your electrician from the installation and check the faulty product is within the applicable warranty period. Warranty is replacement only.

Lights For You is not responsible for damages caused by unprofessional installation, modified products or manipulated by the customer or by any other person not authorised by the manufacturer; as well as by improper use, manipulation and/or short circuits, apparent signs of improper treatment.

Faulty items: lodge warranty directly with the brand (manufacturer). Keep proof of purchase.

Damaged or Missing Items

Notification of any damages or missing items must be received by Lights For You within seven (7) days of receipt of the product. Please email photos to ashfield@lightsforyou.com.au.

If the product is to be repaired or replaced, it must correspond to the one originally sent by Lights For You and the customer must include the delivery note and/or invoice.

Change of Mind Returns

  • Customers who wish to return a product due to a change of mind or cancelled order may do so within thirty (30) days of receipt.
  • The customer is responsible for the shipping costs for a change of mind return, irrespective of any free, discounted or any other type of shipping promotion that may have been applicable at the time of your order. This includes any costs you incur for us shipping the product to you in the first place and the cost of shipping the product back to us.
