Domus KEY-PAR30 LED Frosted PAR30 Globe

The Domus KEY-PAR30 is a 12 W LED reflector globe in the PAR30 shape on an E27 base, with a 36° beam and a frosted lens, in 3000 K or 5000 K.

What PAR30 means and where it belongs

• PAR30 is a reflector lamp — the reflector is built into the globe, so the beam is shaped by the lamp rather than by the fitting.
• ✅ That is what lets it work in a plain open holder. A bare batten holder under an eave will throw a proper 36° beam with this lamp in it, where an ordinary globe would spill in every direction.
• Ø96 × 95 mm — ✅ noticeably smaller than the PAR38 (Ø120 × 131 mm), which matters where the fitting's internal clearance is tight.
• The frosted lens softens the beam edge and hides the LED array, so it does not read as a bright point when looked at directly.

PAR30 or PAR38?

✅ Same beam, same base, same frosted lens. The PAR30 is the one for a tighter fitting; the PAR38 for more light.

The 36° beam

• ✅ A medium beam — genuinely directional. At three metres it lights a circle of roughly two metres across.
• ✅ Right for lighting a specific thing: a doorway, a gate, a parking bay, a shed entrance, planting.
• ⛔ Wrong for lighting an area. Over a whole yard it leaves a bright circle and dark edges — ask us for a floodlight.
• 1,050 lm at 3000 K, 1,100 lm at 5000 K from 12 W. CRI ≥80, SMD, 30,000 hours.

Choosing between the two colours

• 3000 K — 1,050 lm. A house entry, a gate, a garden, a carport. Warm light outdoors reads as light.
• 5000 K — 1,100 lm. Marginally brighter, much colder. Security, sheds, workshops, parking areas.
• ⚠ There is no 4000 K in this lamp — a two-way choice.

Where it works

• ✅ Open exterior E27 holders in covered positions — batten holders, bulkheads, spotlight housings.
• ✅ Lighting something specific: a doorway, gate, parking bay, shed entrance, planting.
• ✅ Fittings too tight for a PAR38 — it is 24 mm narrower and 36 mm shorter.
• ⛔ Not for lighting a whole area — 36° leaves dark edges.
• ⚠ Confirm dimming with us before putting it on a dimmed circuit.
• ⚠ Confirm the IP rating with us if the position is wetter than a covered one.
