The Domus HYDRO-60-EM is a 600 mm emergency weatherproof LED batten — switchable 7.5 W or 15 W, switchable 3000 K / 4000 K / 5000 K, IP65, compliant to AS/NZS 2293, with an optional sensor. 5-year warranty.
| HYDRO-60-EM (this one) | HYDRO-120-EM | |
|---|---|---|
| Length | 600 mm | 1,200 mm |
| Output | 950–1,900 lm | 2,350–4,250 lm |
| Classification | ⭐ C0: D50 · C90: D32 | C0: D50 · C90: D32 — the same |
The sheet gives “1.5 Hours Discharging Time” — 90 minutes — and separately “120 Min”. ⛔ Both on the same document. ⚠ 90 against 120 minutes is a compliance distinction and a certifier checks the figure. ⭐ Ask us before specifying to a duration.
| Setting | Best output | Efficacy |
|---|---|---|
| 7.5 W | 980 lm | ≈131 lm/W |
| 15 W | 1,900 lm | ≈127 lm/W |
600 mm emergency weatherproof LED batten. Switchable 7.5 W / 15 W. Switchable 3000 K / 4000 K / 5000 K. Up to 1,900 lm. CRI ≥80. 120°. IP65. Compliant to AS/NZS 2293. Classification C0: D50, C90: D32. LiFePO4 battery, 6.4 V, 1,500 mAh, 7-hour charge. Non-maintained / maintained rated. Polycarbonate. 50,000 hrs. 240 V. ✅ 5-year warranty. ⭐ It records the SAME classification as the 1,200 mm version despite less than half the output — ask us to confirm before designing spacing to it. ⛔ The sheet gives two durations, "1.5 Hours" and "120 Min". ✅ SMD LEDs — it replaces T8 fittings, it does not take T8 tubes.
Supplied and supported by Lights For You.
On the recorded figures, yes — it carries exactly the same classification as the 1,200mm version, C0: D50 and C90: D32, despite producing less than half the light. Since AS/NZS 2293.1 turns the classification into a spacing table, that would mean the short batten covers the same emergency spacing, and a designer can use the smaller fitting in a tight ceiling without adding emergency positions. It is what both datasheets record, and it is worth confirming before anyone designs to it because the consequence is a positions count. Ask us and we will get it from Domus in writing.
The datasheet gives two answers: "1.5 Hours Discharging Time" — 90 minutes — and separately "120 Min", both on the same document. We are not going to pick one. It matters because 90 against 120 minutes is a compliance distinction and a certifier checks the figure rather than the intention. Ask us before specifying to a duration and we will confirm with Domus.
On this size the efficiency argument barely applies: 7.5W returns about 131 lumens per watt and 15W about 127, so two at 7.5W give roughly 1,960 lumens against 1,900 from one at 15W — about 3% more. On the 1,200mm version the same comparison is 13%, which is a real gain. So on the 600mm, splitting into two fittings is a spacing decision rather than an efficiency one. The intuition does not transfer between the two sizes.
It is rated for both, and the choice depends on what the batten is for. Maintained means it is lit all the time and stays lit when the power fails — right where the batten does the everyday lighting, such as a corridor or plant room. Non-maintained means it is dark normally and lights only on failure — right where it exists solely for the escape route and running it constantly would waste energy and lamp life. The mode is set at installation and affects the wiring, so tell your electrician before they start.
No. Domus describes the range as a direct replacement for traditional T8 and T5 fluorescent battens, which means it replaces those fittings rather than taking their tubes — the LEDs are SMD and sealed in, so there is no relamping. It is worth being explicit because several listings in this range record a lamp type of "T8", and that is wrong. On an emergency fitting the consumable is the battery.
The five-year term is recorded but battery inclusion is not stated, and on an emergency fitting that is the question that matters — the housing and LEDs outlast everything while the battery ages and eventually fails a discharge test. This catalogue does it both ways: EVAC says "including battery" and the BOLT battens split three years fitting and one year battery. Ask us and we will confirm.
On published information, favourably. The HYDRO-60 DALI Emergency records no classification, no battery detail, no duration and no compliance statement, and has no datasheet at all. This listing publishes all of it. What the DALI version adds is addressable control and, in principle, central testing — but you would be buying that without knowing the emergency specification. If you need DALI, tell us and we will get the missing figures before you order.
