Domus HYDRO-60 - 7.5W/15W LED Tri-Colour 600mm Weatherproof Batten IP65 with Optional Sensor

The Domus HYDRO-60 is a 600 mm weatherproof LED batten — switchable 7.5 W or 15 W, switchable 3000 K / 4000 K / 5000 K, IP65, with an optional sensor. 5-year warranty.

⭐ A 600 mm weatherproof batten is a specific tool

• ⭐ Half the length of the standard batten, and that is usually why you want it: a plant room, a cool room, a service cupboard, a walkway soffit between beams.
• ⭐ IP65 at 600 mm is not common. Most short battens are indoor fittings; this one is rated against jets of water, so it goes where a cheap batten would not survive.
• ⚠ Expect it to measure a little over 600 mm — ⭐ the 1,200 mm version measures 1,263 mm, so a nominal length is not the fitting length. Confirm with us before a tight gap.
• ⭐ Colour-matched to concrete ceilings with a quick-fix mounting system — both aimed at installing many, quickly, on a soffit.

⚠ On this size, two small fittings is NOT the efficient answer

• Two at 7.5 W give about 1,960 lm; one at 15 W gives 1,900 lm. ⭐ About 3% more.
• ⚠ On the 1,200 mm HYDRO the same comparison is 13%, which is worth acting on. ⭐ Here it is not.
• ⭐ So choose the wattage on the light you need, not on efficiency, and choose the number of fittings on coverage.
• ⭐ We are stating this because the advice does not transfer between the two sizes, and a rule of thumb learned on the long batten would be wrong here.

✅ It records no lamp type — and that is correct

• ✅ Its datasheet records SMD LEDs, and the product record carries no bulb type at all, which is right for an integrated fitting.
• ⛔ Twelve Domus batten listings record “T8” — a fluorescent tube format. ⭐ Of 30 batten listings, 15 record nothing and 3 record “Built-in LED”, so T8 is the anomaly.
• ⭐ Domus's own words explain the confusion without excusing it: the sheet describes the range as “a direct replacement to traditional T8 and T5 fluorescent battens”. ⭐ It replaces those fittings. It does not take their tubes.
• ⭐ Practically: no relamping, no tube to stock. At 50,000 hrs the fitting is replaced when the LEDs go.

• 950–1,900 lm across the settings. CRI ≥80. 120°. IP65. 50,000 hrs. 240 V.
• Polycarbonate body with a frosted polycarbonate diffuser — ⭐ high impact resistance, and the frosting is what stops a bare LED line showing through.
• ⛔ The luminaire is NOT dimmable. ⭐ The Dimmable Sensor variant means the sensor dims it — low standby when empty, full on detection.
• Surface mounted or suspended.
• ✅ 5-year warranty, recorded on the product — ⭐ one of the better terms in this catalogue.

Where it works

• Plant rooms, cool rooms and service cupboards.
• Walkway soffits between beams, where 1,200 mm will not fit.
• Washdown areas — IP65.
• ⭐ Corridors and store rooms with the sensor.
• ⚠ Not on a dimming circuit — the DALI version is that.
