The Domus HYDRO-60 is a 600 mm weatherproof LED batten — switchable 7.5 W or 15 W, switchable 3000 K / 4000 K / 5000 K, IP65, with an optional sensor. 5-year warranty.
| Setting | Best output | Efficacy |
|---|---|---|
| 7.5 W | 980 lm | ≈131 lm/W |
| 15 W | 1,900 lm | ≈127 lm/W |
600 mm weatherproof LED batten. Switchable 7.5 W / 15 W. Switchable 3000 K / 4000 K / 5000 K. 950–1,900 lm. CRI ≥80. 120°. IP65. Polycarbonate. Surface mounted or suspended. 50,000 hrs. 240 V. ✅ 5-year warranty. ⚠ Unlike the 1,200 mm version, two fittings at the low setting give only ~3% more light than one at the high setting — choose on coverage, not efficiency. ⛔ The luminaire is not dimmable; the "Dimmable Sensor" variant means the SENSOR dims. ✅ SMD LEDs — it REPLACES T8 fittings and takes no tube.
Supplied and supported by Lights For You.
Choose on the light you need, not on efficiency — because on this size the efficiency argument barely exists. 7.5W returns about 131 lumens per watt and 15W about 127, so two at 7.5W give roughly 1,960 lumens against 1,900 from one at 15W: about 3% more. On the 1,200mm HYDRO the same comparison is 13%, which is worth acting on. We are stating this because a rule of thumb learned on the long batten would be wrong here.
No — its datasheet records SMD LEDs and its product record carries no bulb type at all, which is correct for an integrated fitting. Twelve Domus batten listings do record "T8", a fluorescent tube format, and that is wrong: of 30 batten listings, 15 record nothing and 3 record "Built-in LED", so T8 is the anomaly. Domus's own words explain the confusion — the sheet calls the range "a direct replacement to traditional T8 and T5 fluorescent battens". It replaces those fittings; it does not take their tubes.
Because of where it fits. A plant room, cool room, service cupboard or a walkway soffit between beams often cannot take a 1,200mm fitting, and IP65 at 600mm is not common — most short battens are indoor fittings. This one is rated against jets of water, so it goes where a cheaper short batten would not survive. If length is not your constraint, the 1,200mm version is more efficient per watt.
A little over 600mm — nominal batten lengths never match the fitting. The 1,200mm version in this range measures 1,263mm, so expect a similar overshoot here. Confirm the exact figure with us before fitting it into a tight gap or planning a continuous run; it is a short question and much better answered before delivery.
The luminaire is not — the datasheet is explicit. The "Dimmable Sensor" variant means the sensor dims it: low standby when the space is empty, full output on detection. In a corridor or store room that beats switching off entirely, because you never walk into darkness and the LEDs are not cycled. For dimming from a wall control or a building system, the HYDRO-60 DALI version is what does that.
Frosted polycarbonate, over a high-impact polycarbonate body. The frosting matters more than it sounds: it is what stops the individual LEDs showing as a line of bright dots through the cover, which on a fitting mounted at head height in a plant room or corridor is the difference between a light and a glare source. The body material is also why it survives being knocked in a service space.
Five years, recorded on the product rather than only on a datasheet — which is worth noting in this catalogue, where one to three years is common and 46 products carry a term on a sheet and in no field at all. On a fitting destined for a plant room or a washdown area, a five-year term is a meaningful part of the specification.
