Domus HYDRO-120 - 15W/30W LED Tri-Colour 1200mm Weatherproof Batten IP65 with Optional Sensor

The Domus HYDRO-120 is a 1,200 mm weatherproof LED batten — switchable 15 W or 30 W, switchable 3000 K / 4000 K / 5000 K, IP65, IK10, with an optional sensor. 5-year warranty.

⭐ Two switches, six settings — and the low one is the efficient one

• ⭐ 15 W returns about 160 lm/W; 30 W returns about 142. The low setting is the more efficient one — which is the opposite of what most people assume.
• ⭐ So two battens at 15 W give roughly 4,800 lm for the same 30 W that one batten turns into 4,250 lm — about 13% more light, spread over twice the length.
• ⭐ In a carpark, a store or a workshop that is usually the better answer: more even cover, fewer shadows, no brighter hot spot, and the same connected load. ⚠ It costs one more fitting and one more fixing.
• ⭐ Set both switches at installation and note what you chose — ⚠ nothing on the outside tells you afterwards.

⛔ "Dimmable Sensor" does not mean the batten dims

• Three variants: No Sensor, ON/OFF Sensor, Dimmable Sensor.
• ⛔ The datasheet records the luminaire as NOT dimmable. ⭐ Both statements are true, and the distinction matters.
• ⭐ The sensor is what dims. A dimmable sensor drops the batten to a low standby level when the space is empty and lifts it to full on detection — ⭐ which in a stairwell, a carpark or a corridor is far better than switching off entirely, because you never walk into darkness and the LEDs are not cycled.
• ⛔ What it will NOT do is respond to a wall dimmer or a lighting control channel. ⚠ If you need that, this is not the fitting — ⭐ the HYDRO-120 DALI version is.

Specifying it

• IP65 — protected against jets of water, so genuinely washdown-capable, and IK10, the highest impact rating in common use.
• ⭐ IK10 is the figure that matters in a carpark or a loading dock. It is what survives a trolley, a pallet corner or a ball.
• Polycarbonate body, CRI ≥80, 120° beam, 50,000 hrs, 240 V.
• ⚠ It measures 1,263 mm, not 1,200 mm. ⭐ Allow for it when planning a continuous run or fitting between obstructions — over five battens that is 315 mm more than a nominal calculation gives.
• 90 mm × 129 mm in section. Surface mounted or suspended.
• ✅ 5-year warranty, recorded — ⭐ one of the better terms in this catalogue, where 1 to 3 years is common.

⭐ It uses SMD LEDs — there is no tube to replace

• ✅ The datasheet records SMD LEDs — surface-mounted diodes on a board, sealed inside the body.
• ⚠ Worth stating plainly, because four sibling HYDRO listings record a lamp type of “T8” — a fluorescent tube format. ⛔ These battens do not take a tube.
• ⭐ Which changes what you stock and what happens at end of life. There is no relamping: when the LEDs fail, the fitting is replaced. At 50,000 hrs that is roughly 11 years of dusk-to-dawn running.
• ⭐ If a page in this range tells you it takes T8, ask us — ⭐ this listing is the one with a verified datasheet, and it does not.
