This is a replacement face plate for the Domus TICK-8 downlight — in black or satin nickel. It is a fascia ring, not a light.
It carries 8 W, 750 lm, a Ø90–100 mm cutout, a 110° beam, CRI ≥80 and 35,000 hrs. ⛔ None of that describes a fascia ring.
| TICK-8 | TACK-8 | |

| Fascia | Flat | Deep-set, anti-glare |
| Engine | The same 8 W, 750–800 lm, Ø90–100 mm cutout | |
Replacement face plate for the Domus TICK-8 downlight. Black or satin nickel. The TICK-8 ships with a white fascia; this replaces it. ⛔ It is a fascia ring, not a light — the datasheet attached to this listing describes the downlight (8 W, 750 lm, Ø90–100 mm cutout, 110° beam), not the plate. ⚠ The datasheet prose calls the finish "Satin Chrome" where this listing calls it "Satin Nickel" — order by the variant name and ask us for a sample if it must match other metalware. ⛔ Warranty not recorded.
Supplied and supported by Lights For You.
Just the plate — a fascia ring, not a light. The TICK-8 downlight ships with a white fascia already in the box, and this is how you change the finish to black or satin nickel. It is a good arrangement: one downlight SKU covers three finishes, so a job that changes its mind about black ceilings after the downlights are ordered costs a fascia rather than a fitting. Keep the white plate that came with the downlight — it is the one most likely to be wanted later if the ceiling is repainted.
The variant on this listing is called Satin Nickel and that is what you will receive; the datasheet prose calls the finish Satin Chrome. They are different finishes — nickel is warmer and slightly yellow-grey, chrome cooler and bluer. Against a white ceiling the difference is subtle; against brushed tapware or door hardware it is not. Order by the variant name here, and ask us for a sample if it has to match other metalware in the room.
Because it is the downlight's sheet, not the plate's — it carries 8W, 750lm, a Ø90–100mm cutout, a 110° beam, CRI ≥80 and 35,000 hours, none of which describes a fascia ring. Our checking process marks it "verified" because this SKU appears in the sheet's own item table, which is exactly the boundary of what that check means: the SKU is listed, not that the specifications describe it. We have used it only for what it legitimately tells us — which downlight the plate fits, and that the fitting ships white.
No. The TICK has a flat fascia and the TACK has a deep-set anti-glare one — same 8W light engine, different face — so the plates are different parts and are not interchangeable. Order the one matching your downlight. If you are choosing between the two in the first place: the flat TICK sits closer to flush and suits a minimal ceiling, and the deep-set TACK recesses the source to cut glare where people look up.
Yes, and that is the point of the design — the datasheet describes simply removing the white fascia and fitting the alternative. So a ceiling that gets repainted dark, or a room that changes use, does not need the downlights changed. Do check the downlight is isolated first, and take the opportunity to look at the fascia seating: a plate that has been on for years can hold dust that shows once the new one is on.
Yes — each fitting takes its own fascia. It is worth counting carefully on a large job, because the plates are ordered separately from the downlights and it is easy to end up one or two short at fit-off. Tell us the downlight count and we will match the plate quantity.
Not recorded, and the attached datasheet is the downlight's so it does not answer the question either. Ask us and we will confirm with Domus — accessory and spare-part terms are often different from the term on a complete fitting.
