This is a replacement face plate for the Domus TICK-8 downlight — in black or satin nickel. It is a fascia ring, not a light.

Just the plate — a fascia ring, not a light. The TICK-8 downlight ships with a white fascia already in the box, and this is how you change the finish to black or satin nickel. It is a good arrangement: one downlight SKU covers three finishes, so a job that changes its mind about black ceilings after the downlights are ordered costs a fascia rather than a fitting. Keep the white plate that came with the downlight — it is the one most likely to be wanted later if the ceiling is repainted.

Will it fit a TACK-8?

No. The TICK has a flat fascia and the TACK has a deep-set anti-glare one — same 8W light engine, different face — so the plates are different parts and are not interchangeable. If you are choosing between the two in the first place: the flat TICK sits closer to flush and suits a minimal ceiling, and the deep-set TACK recesses the source to cut glare where people look up.

Can I change the fascia after installation?

Yes, and that is the point of the design — the datasheet describes simply removing the white fascia and fitting the alternative. So a ceiling that gets repainted dark, or a room that changes use, does not need the downlights changed. Do check the downlight is isolated first, and take the opportunity to look at the fascia seating: a plate that has been on for years can hold dust that shows once the new one is on.

Do I need one plate per downlight?

Yes — each fitting takes its own fascia. It is worth counting carefully on a large job, because the plates are ordered separately from the downlights and it is easy to end up one or two short at fit-off. Tell us the downlight count and we will match the plate quantity.

What is the warranty on the plate?

Not recorded, and the attached datasheet is the downlight's so it does not answer the question either. Ask us and we will confirm with Domus — accessory and spare-part terms are often different from the term on a complete fitting.

Warranties

For all warranty claims please ensure you have your proof of purchase at hand, an invoice from your electrician from the installation and check the faulty product is within the applicable warranty period. Warranty is replacement only.

Lights For You is not responsible for damages caused by unprofessional installation, modified products or manipulated by the customer or by any other person not authorised by the manufacturer; as well as by improper use, manipulation and/or short circuits, apparent signs of improper treatment.

Faulty items: lodge warranty directly with the brand (manufacturer). Keep proof of purchase.

Damaged or Missing Items

Notification of any damages or missing items must be received by Lights For You within seven (7) days of receipt of the product. Please email photos to ashfield@lightsforyou.com.au.

If the product is to be repaired or replaced, it must correspond to the one originally sent by Lights For You and the customer must include the delivery note and/or invoice.

Returns

Change of Mind Returns

  • Customers who wish to return a product due to a change of mind or cancelled order may do so within thirty (30) days of receipt.
  • The customer is responsible for the shipping costs for a change of mind return, irrespective of any free, discounted or any other type of shipping promotion that may have been applicable at the time of your order. This includes any costs you incur for us shipping the product to you in the first place and the cost of shipping the product back to us.
