Domus EXIT-REC-24M - 4W LED Recessed Blade Exit Sign

The Domus EXIT-REC-24M is a recessed blade LED exit sign — 2.5 W, 24 m viewing distance, 2-hour LiFePO4 battery, cutout 305 × 65 mm. Black or white.

⛔ 2.5 W, not the 4 W in the title

• The title says 4 W. The datasheet says 2.5 W, and its own prose repeats “Complete with 2.5 W LED”.
• ✅ Two sources against one, so we have published 2.5 W.
• ⚠ It matters for a load calculation across a building, where exit signs run continuously — 4 W against 2.5 W is a 60% overstatement, and on fifty signs that is a real difference in a connected-load figure.

⭐ 24 metres is the number that lays out the building

• Viewing distance: 24 m. ⛔ On the datasheet and in no field.
• ⭐ On an exit sign the viewing distance is the specification — it is how far away the legend remains legible, and therefore how far apart signs can be placed along an escape route.
• ⭐ 24 m is a standard commercial figure and suits most corridors, foyers and retail floors. On a longer sight line you need a larger sign, not a brighter one.
• ⚠ Do not substitute a shorter-viewing-distance sign into a layout designed around 24 m — the gaps are where people fail to find the exit.

⭐ Both decals are in the box

• Single-sided and double-sided decals are included.
• ⭐ Which is unusual and genuinely useful. A double-sided sign is needed where people approach from both directions — a corridor junction, a lobby — and a single-sided one where the sign backs onto a wall. One part covers both, so you do not have to decide at order stage.
• ⭐ A quick-release design for decal installation, so the legend goes on without dismantling the fitting.
• ⚠ Decal orientation still has to be right. Arrow direction is decided on site and it is the thing most often got wrong — check it against the escape plan, not against which way looks natural.

• ⚠ Whether 2 hours meets your requirement is set by the building's classification and your electrical designer, not by the fitting. Check the figure against the design rather than a rule of thumb.
• ⭐ Easy battery replacement matters on an exit sign more than most fittings, because they run continuously and the battery is the consumable.

• Cutout 305 × 65 mm — ⛔ on the datasheet and in no field. ⭐ A blade sign sets into the ceiling and reads edge-on, which is why the cutout is a slot rather than a hole.
• 240 V, 50 Hz, IP20, 5000 K.
• Operating range 0–40 °C — ⚠ the 0 °C lower limit is higher than most fittings here; not one for an unheated car park in a cold climate.
