If you are substituting, take the classification back to the designer rather than matching on wattage or lumens.

Will it fit my existing holes?

Probably, and that is one of its better features. The dish is adjustable between 95mm and 145mm and it comes with an adaptor plate for larger holes, so it drops into an existing opening without a ceiling repair — which most emergency lights cannot do. Depth is 34mm, so it also suits shallow ceiling voids. Measure your existing hole and tell us; if it falls in that range this is a straightforward retrofit.

How long does it run in an emergency?

Not stated in any source we hold, which on an emergency fitting is a real gap — the required duration comes from your building's classification and your electrical designer, and the fitting's figure has to be checked against it. Ask us and we will get it from Domus in writing. What we can tell you is that it is non-maintained, so it is off in normal use and comes on only when the mains fails.

What is the polarity-reversal switch for?

Installing on an unfinished job. Emergency fittings installed early otherwise sit discharging for weeks while the power is off, and arrive at handover already degraded. The switch isolates the battery so the fitting can go in with the rest of the ceiling and be brought into service later. It is a practical feature and worth using rather than ignoring.

Warranties

For all warranty claims please ensure you have your proof of purchase at hand, an invoice from your electrician from the installation and check the faulty product is within the applicable warranty period. Warranty is replacement only.

Lights For You is not responsible for damages caused by unprofessional installation, modified products or manipulated by the customer or by any other person not authorised by the manufacturer; as well as by improper use, manipulation and/or short circuits, apparent signs of improper treatment.

Faulty items: lodge warranty directly with the brand (manufacturer). Keep proof of purchase.

Damaged or Missing Items

Notification of any damages or missing items must be received by Lights For You within seven (7) days of receipt of the product. Please email photos to ashfield@lightsforyou.com.au.

If the product is to be repaired or replaced, it must correspond to the one originally sent by Lights For You and the customer must include the delivery note and/or invoice.

Change of Mind Returns

  • Customers who wish to return a product due to a change of mind or cancelled order may do so within thirty (30) days of receipt.
  • The customer is responsible for the shipping costs for a change of mind return, irrespective of any free, discounted or any other type of shipping promotion that may have been applicable at the time of your order. This includes any costs you incur for us shipping the product to you in the first place and the cost of shipping the product back to us.
