The Domus DUSK-SPIKE-MR16 is a solid brass garden spike light — 6 W at 12 V DC, IP65, with a replaceable MR16 tri-colour lamp, 60° beam and CRI ≥80. Ø58 mm. Bronze or black.

⭐ 6500 K at the top — unusual for this range, and it matters

• 3000 K 500 lm · 4000 K 550 lm · 6500 K 550 lm.
• ⭐ 6500 K is noticeably bluer than the 5000 K, 5500 K or 5700 K that Domus tri-colour products in this catalogue otherwise top out at.
• ⚠ On planting it reads as moonlight or as harsh, depending on the setting. Under a tree canopy 6500 K can be a deliberate and beautiful effect; on a shrub bed beside a warm-lit house it looks like a security light.
• ⭐ For most garden work, 3000 K is the right setting — and note it is also the dimmest of the three, so choosing warm costs you about 10% of the output.
• ⚠ Set it before installation. The switch is on the lamp, so changing it later means opening the fitting.

⭐ MR16 against MR11 — the two DUSK spikes are a real choice

• ⭐ This is the wide, bright one: more than double the output over a 60° spread, for shrubs, wide beds and low planting groups.
• ⭐ The MR11 is the narrow, discreet one: a 38° beam from a Ø41 mm head, for a single specimen plant or a tight accent.
• ⚠ And this one lasts longer — 50,000 hours against 35,000.
• ⚠ Neither listing mentions the other.

⭐ A replaceable MR16 lamp on a solid brass body

• ✅ Most modern LED garden spikes are sealed units — when the LED fails the fitting is scrap. This one takes a standard replaceable MR16 lamp.
• ⭐ Which is what makes solid brass worth paying for. Brass in a garden bed patinas and keeps going for decades; a lamp does not. Buy the fitting once and re-lamp it.
• ⭐ MR16 is a common, widely available format, so you are not tied to one supplier for spares — though ⚠ a replacement must be 12 V DC and tri-colour to match. Ask us and we will supply the matched lamp.
• ⚠ Its sibling the MR11 version names its spare on its datasheet; this one does not.

⛔ It needs a driver, and that is not included

• 12 V DC constant-voltage LED driver required, not supplied. ⭐ Wire in parallel.
• ⚠ At 6 W each these are heavier loads than the 4 W DUSK-PATH lights — ten fittings is 60 W, so a 100 W driver once you allow headroom, not a 60 W.
• ⚠ Volt drop dims the far end of a long 12 V run. Tell us the layout and we will size the driver and the cable together.
• ⭐ Use an IP67 driver outdoors.

• IP65 — dust-tight and rated against water jets, so sprinklers are fine.
• CRI ≥80 — ⚠ lower than the DUSK-PATH range's ≥90. On foliage that difference is visible: greens stay truer at ≥90.
