The Domus DRIVER-24V-IP20 is an indoor non-dimmable 24 V DC constant-voltage LED driver — IP20, in 20, 30, 60 and 100 W, 100 × 36 × 18 mm.

Why choose 24V and non-dimmable together?

They solve two different problems and pair well. 24V halves the current and the volt drop against 12V at the same power, so a long strip run stays even end to end rather than fading towards the far side. Non-dimmable removes the commonest failure mode in strip lighting — flicker at low dimming levels, almost always a dimmer-and-driver mismatch. Together they make this the driver for a long, switched, hidden run: wardrobe and pantry strip, plinth and shelf lighting, display cases.

Does the listing say it is non-dimmable?

Which wattage do I need?

Add up the load and allow about 20% headroom, since a driver at its rated maximum runs hotter and lasts less time. A worked example: 24V strip at 14.4W per metre over 5m is 72W, so the 100W driver rather than the 60W. Tell us the strip and the run length and we will size it.

Can I use 12V strip with it?

No — every fitting on the run must be 24V. A 12V strip on a 24V supply fails immediately, and it is not a subtle failure. Check the strip specification before choosing the driver; this is a system decision rather than a driver decision, and getting it wrong costs both parts.

How does it compare with the slim linear drivers?

Shape against efficiency. This compact one is 100 × 36 × 18mm at up to 89% efficiency; the slim linear ones are 260 × 30 × 18.5mm at up to 79%. So the linear driver fits inside a profile channel where this will not, but it makes noticeably more heat at the same load. If the compact one fits your void, it is the more efficient choice.

What is the warranty?

Warranties

For all warranty claims please ensure you have your proof of purchase at hand, an invoice from your electrician from the installation and check the faulty product is within the applicable warranty period. Warranty is replacement only.

Lights For You is not responsible for damages caused by unprofessional installation, modified products or manipulated by the customer or by any other person not authorised by the manufacturer; as well as by improper use, manipulation and/or short circuits, apparent signs of improper treatment.

Faulty items: lodge warranty directly with the brand (manufacturer). Keep proof of purchase.

Damaged or Missing Items

Notification of any damages or missing items must be received by Lights For You within seven (7) days of receipt of the product. Please email photos to ashfield@lightsforyou.com.au.

If the product is to be repaired or replaced, it must correspond to the one originally sent by Lights For You and the customer must include the delivery note and/or invoice.

Change of Mind Returns

  • Customers who wish to return a product due to a change of mind or cancelled order may do so within thirty (30) days of receipt.
  • The customer is responsible for the shipping costs for a change of mind return, irrespective of any free, discounted or any other type of shipping promotion that may have been applicable at the time of your order. This includes any costs you incur for us shipping the product to you in the first place and the cost of shipping the product back to us.
