The Domus DRIVER-12V-SLIM is a slim linear non-dimmable 12 V DC constant-voltage LED driver — 260 × 30 × 18.5 mm, IP20, in 30, 60, 100 and 150 W.
| 12 V IP20 pair | Dimmable | Non-dimmable |
|---|---|---|
| Linear (this range) | 350 g | 200 g |
| Compact | ⚠ 69 g | ⚠ 100 g |
Slim linear non-dimmable 12 V DC constant-voltage LED driver. IP20. 30 / 60 / 100 / 150 W. 260 × 30 × 18.5 mm, 200 g. Efficiency up to 79%; PF >0.96. Voltage tolerance ±0.5 V, regulation ±0.5%. −40 °C to +60 °C. Secondary-side short circuit, thermal overload, over-temperature and over-voltage protection. 1 m flex and plug. Parallel wiring. ⛔ Efficiency up to 79% against the compact drivers' 89% — give it air. ⛔ 5-year warranty in the datasheet prose and in no field.
Supplied and supported by Lights For You.
It fits where the compact one will not. At 30mm wide and 18.5mm deep it lies inside an aluminium profile channel or along a shadow gap, which solves the problem that spoils most strip installations — the driver ending up somewhere visible or somewhere unreachable because nobody allowed for it at design stage. The cost is efficiency: up to 79% here against the compact driver's 89%.
For heat more than for running cost. At 150W output, 79% efficiency draws roughly 190W from the mains against 169W at 89%, and that difference becomes warmth inside whatever encloses the driver. A slim driver sealed into an airless joinery void runs hotter than a compact one at the same load, and heat is what shortens a driver's life. Give it ventilation or mount it where air moves.
Fewer things to go wrong. The most common complaint about LED strip is flicker at low dimming levels, and it is almost always a dimmer-and-driver mismatch — a non-dimmable driver removes that failure mode entirely. Specify it wherever the lighting is switched rather than dimmed: under-cabinet task strip, wardrobe and pantry lighting, display and plinth lighting.
Only by changing the driver, and that is the expensive part when it is inside joinery. If there is any realistic chance the run will want dimming, buy the 5-in-1 dimmable version now — it offers Triac, 0–10V, 1–10V, PWM and potentiometer control in one part, so it also covers you if the control method changes between design and handover.
260 × 30 × 18.5mm. The 30mm width and 18.5mm depth are what let it hide, but the 260mm length is a real dimension — check the run has a straight 260mm to give it. And hide it somewhere reachable: the driver is the part most likely to fail in a strip installation and the LEDs generally outlive it, so do not seal it in permanently.
It keeps brightness even along a long strip run. This driver holds ±0.5V tolerance and ±0.5% regulation, which is tight — loose regulation shows as visible variation from one end of a cove to the other, and once installed there is nothing to be done about it. It is one of the specifications worth comparing on strip lighting and one that rarely gets compared.
Five years, stated in the datasheet prose as a replacement warranty, and in no product field. It is the longest term in this Domus catalogue and it matters on a driver, since the driver is usually what fails first in a strip installation. Ask us to confirm it with your order since it is prose rather than a recorded term.
