The Domus DRIVER-12V-IP67 is an outdoor non-dimmable 12 V DC constant-voltage LED driver — IP67, in nine wattages from 20 W to 500 W, with 1 m flex and plug.

⭐ Nine sizes, 20 W to 500 W — the widest range in this catalogue
  • 20 / 30 / 60 / 100 / 150 / 200 / 300 / 400 / 500 W, chosen from the dropdown.

Which wattage do I need?

Add up the load and allow about 20% headroom — running a driver at its rated maximum shortens its life. Nine sizes are offered from 20W to 500W, which is the widest range of any product in this catalogue; our record lists only 20W, the smallest. One caution at the big end: at 12V, 500W is over 40 amps, which is a serious cable calculation rather than a detail. Tell us the layout and the total load and we will work it out.

Should I use one big driver or several smaller ones?

Above about 150W, several smaller drivers close to their loads usually beats one large driver at the origin. You get shorter low-voltage runs, less volt drop, smaller cable and — importantly — one failure does not take out the whole garden. A single 500W driver at the meter box feeding a long 12V run is the arrangement most likely to disappoint. Tell us the layout and we will suggest the split.

How is it different from the dimmable IP67 version?

Two ways, and one is not obvious. It does not dim, and its working range is wider: −40°C to +60°C against the dimmable version's −30°C to +45°C. That 15°C of extra headroom at the top end is the figure that matters in Australia — a driver in a garden enclosure in full summer sun can exceed 45°C internally without the air being anywhere near that. So in an exposed or unshaded position, if you do not need dimming, this is the more robust choice. Neither listing compares them.

Can I bury it in a garden bed?

IP67 is dust-tight and rated for temporary immersion, so yes — that is genuinely a garden-bed rating rather than just a rain rating, and it is what the product is made for. But temporary immersion is not permanent: a driver sitting where water stands after every storm will fail eventually. Mount it above the water line or in a drained enclosure even at IP67.

What protection does it have?

Four things, all in the datasheet prose and none in a product field: secondary-side short-circuit protection, thermal overload, over-temperature and over-voltage protection. The short-circuit protection earns its keep in a garden — a low-voltage cable cut by a spade shuts the driver down instead of damaging it, which is a far commoner event than people expect.

How do I wire the fittings to it?

In parallel, never in series — each fitting connects across the same 12V output rather than one after another. Wiring low-voltage fittings in series is a common and expensive mistake: the voltage divides between them and nothing runs properly. If you are running several zones or a long line, tell us the layout and we will draw it with you.

What is the warranty?

Five years, stated in the datasheet prose as a replacement warranty — and in no product field. It is the longest term in this Domus catalogue, and on a driver it is the term that matters most: the driver is what fails first in a garden installation and the fittings outlive it. Warranties

For all warranty claims please ensure you have your proof of purchase at hand, an invoice from your electrician from the installation and check the faulty product is within the applicable warranty period. Warranty is replacement only.

Lights For You is not responsible for damages caused by unprofessional installation, modified products or manipulated by the customer or by any other person not authorised by the manufacturer; as well as by improper use, manipulation and/or short circuits, apparent signs of improper treatment.

Faulty items: lodge warranty directly with the brand (manufacturer). Keep proof of purchase.

Damaged or Missing Items

Notification of any damages or missing items must be received by Lights For You within seven (7) days of receipt of the product. Please email photos to ashfield@lightsforyou.com.au.

If the product is to be repaired or replaced, it must correspond to the one originally sent by Lights For You and the customer must include the delivery note and/or invoice.

Change of Mind Returns

  • Customers who wish to return a product due to a change of mind or cancelled order may do so within thirty (30) days of receipt.
  • The customer is responsible for the shipping costs for a change of mind return, irrespective of any free, discounted or any other type of shipping promotion that may have been applicable at the time of your order. This includes any costs you incur for us shipping the product to you in the first place and the cost of shipping the product back to us.
