The Domus DRIVER-12V-IP67-DIM is an outdoor Triac-dimmable 12 V DC constant-voltage LED driver — IP67, in 30, 60, 100, 150 and 200 W, complete with 1 m flex and plug.
application: Indoor, on an IP67 driver made for garden beds. ⭐ Across the Domus catalogue that field holds “Indoor” on 340 of 342 records and carries no information. Read the IP67.
Outdoor Triac-dimmable 12 V DC constant-voltage LED driver. IP67. 30 / 60 / 100 / 150 / 200 W. Efficiency up to 89%, PF >0.95. Secondary-side short-circuit, thermal overload, over-temperature and over-voltage protection. 1 m flex and plug. Parallel wiring. Working range −30 °C to +45 °C, 5–95% RH. 240 V AC input. ⭐ The datasheet prose states a 5-year replacement warranty — the longest in this catalogue — and it is in no product field; ask us to confirm it with your order. ⛔ Our record lists 30 W, the smallest of five variants, and calls this an indoor product.
Supplied and supported by Lights For You.
Five years, stated in the datasheet prose as a replacement warranty — and it is in no product field, which is why it is worth calling out. Five years is the longest term met anywhere in this Domus catalogue, where most products carry one or three. On a driver that matters more than it sounds: the driver is usually what fails first in a garden lighting installation, and the fittings outlive it. Ask us to confirm it in writing with your order, since it is prose rather than a recorded term.
Add up the load of everything on the run and allow about 20% headroom — running a driver at its rated maximum shortens its life. The range is 30, 60, 100, 150 and 200W, chosen from the dropdown; note our record lists only 30W, which is just the smallest variant. Tell us the fittings and how many and we will size it with you, and we will look at the cable at the same time: at 12V, volt drop on a long garden run dims the fittings at the far end, and that is a cable problem rather than a driver one.
IP67 is dust-tight and rated for temporary immersion, so it is genuinely a garden-bed rating rather than just a rain rating — that is what the product is for. But temporary immersion is not permanent: a driver sitting where water stands after every storm will fail eventually. Mount it above the water line or in a drained enclosure even at IP67, and it will last the five years its warranty implies.
It is Triac dimmable on the mains side, with the datasheet's own qualifier "fully dimmable with suitable dimmers". Be careful here: Triac dimming of a constant-voltage driver is the arrangement most likely to flicker when the dimmer and driver are mismatched, especially at low levels and light loads. Tell us which dimmer you have and the total load and we will confirm the combination before you buy. If you do not need dimming, the non-dimmable version has fewer things to go wrong.
In parallel, as the datasheet specifies — not in series. Each fitting connects across the same 12V output rather than one after another. Wiring low-voltage fittings in series is a common and expensive mistake: the voltage divides between them and nothing runs properly. If you are running several zones or a long line, tell us the layout and we will draw it with you.
Four things, all stated in the datasheet prose and none of them in a product field: secondary-side short-circuit protection, thermal overload protection, over-temperature protection and over-voltage protection. The short-circuit protection is the one that earns its keep in a garden — a low-voltage cable cut by a spade shuts the driver down instead of damaging it.
Position decides it. IP67 is for outdoors, garden beds and anywhere exposed; the IP20 version is the indoor equivalent at the same 12V output and is the cheaper correct answer if the driver is going in a cupboard, a ceiling void or a switchboard. Paying for IP67 to sit in a dry cupboard is protection you are not using.
