The Domus DRIVER-12V-IP20 is an indoor non-dimmable 12 V DC constant-voltage LED driver — IP20, in 20, 30, 60 and 100 W, 100 × 36 × 18 mm.

⭐ Non-dimmable is a feature, not a limitation
  • ✅ Fewer things to go wrong. The most common complaint about LED strip is flicker at low dimming levels, and it is almost always a dimmer-and-driver mismatch. A non-dimmable driver removes that failure mode entirely.
  • ⭐ So specify it wherever the lighting is switched rather than dimmed — under-cabinet task lighting, wardrobe and cupboard strip, display and shelf lighting, plinth lighting. None of those is usually dimmed, and all of them are places a flickering strip is maddening.

Why choose a non-dimmable driver?

Fewer things to go wrong. The most common complaint about LED strip is flicker at low dimming levels, and it is almost always a dimmer-and-driver mismatch — a non-dimmable driver removes that failure mode entirely. Specify it wherever the lighting is switched rather than dimmed: under-cabinet task lighting, wardrobe and cupboard strip, display and shelf lighting, plinth lighting. Can I add dimming later?

Only by changing the driver, and that is the expensive part when the driver is hidden inside joinery. So if there is any realistic chance the run will want dimming — a kitchen that might become an entertaining space, a display area whose use may change — buy the dimmable version now. The price difference is small against the cost of opening up finished joinery.

Where should I mount it?

Can I use it outdoors?

No. IP20 means no water protection at all and only protection against fingers for solids — it is an indoor dry-location component. For a garden, a bathroom or anywhere damp, the IP67 version of the same 12V driver is the right part; it is rated for temporary immersion and can go in a garden bed.

Warranties

For all warranty claims please ensure you have your proof of purchase at hand, an invoice from your electrician from the installation and check the faulty product is within the applicable warranty period. Warranty is replacement only.

Lights For You is not responsible for damages caused by unprofessional installation, modified products or manipulated by the customer or by any other person not authorised by the manufacturer; as well as by improper use, manipulation and/or short circuits, apparent signs of improper treatment.

Faulty items: lodge warranty directly with the brand (manufacturer). Keep proof of purchase.

Damaged or Missing Items

Notification of any damages or missing items must be received by Lights For You within seven (7) days of receipt of the product. Please email photos to ashfield@lightsforyou.com.au.

If the product is to be repaired or replaced, it must correspond to the one originally sent by Lights For You and the customer must include the delivery note and/or invoice.

Change of Mind Returns

  • Customers who wish to return a product due to a change of mind or cancelled order may do so within thirty (30) days of receipt.
  • The customer is responsible for the shipping costs for a change of mind return, irrespective of any free, discounted or any other type of shipping promotion that may have been applicable at the time of your order. This includes any costs you incur for us shipping the product to you in the first place and the cost of shipping the product back to us.
