The Domus BOLT is a diffused LED batten in 600 mm or 1200 mm — a direct replacement for T8 and T5 fluorescent battens, with switchable wattage, switchable colour and an IP44 rating.
✅ Two wattages in one fitting, changed by a switch on the driver. The 600 mm runs at 10 W or 21 W:
| Setting | 3000 K | 4000 K | 5700 K |
|---|---|---|---|
| 10 W | 810 lm | 900 lm | 900 lm |
| 21 W | 1,665 lm | 1,850 lm | 1,850 lm |
As the manufacturer puts it: “if the area is too bright, simply press the switch located on the LED driver to reduce the output by almost half.” ✅ That means you do not have to get the specification right before you buy — put it up, look at it, and change it.
3000 K, 4000 K or 5700 K, selected before installation.
⚠ Note the 10 W setting gives the same 900 lm at both 4000 K and 5700 K, so there is no output penalty for choosing warmer over colder at the top two settings.
The datasheet is specific: the IP44 rating applies from the underside of the batten once installed into the ceiling. It is not a sealed weatherproof fitting.
It can be surface mounted or suspended — suspended is worth considering in a high garage or workshop, where dropping the batten closer to the work is more effective than a brighter one at the ceiling.
The wattage switch gives you two fixed levels, and that is all. There is no dimming — so do not put it on a dimmer circuit. ⚠ If you need continuous control in a workshop or garage, tell us and we will suggest an alternative.
Pressed sheet metal, white powder coated, with a high-transparency opal polycarbonate diffuser — which is what makes it “diffused” rather than a bare strip: the light is even along the length and the LEDs are not visible as points. CRI ≥80, 120° beam, 40,000 hours, 240 V.
⚠ The 1200 mm version is 42 W, and its output figures are not recorded in any source we hold — we will not double the 600 mm numbers, because output does not scale exactly with length. Ask us if you need them.
600 mm (65 × 80 mm section) or 1200 mm. 600 mm: switchable 10 W / 21 W giving 810 / 900 / 900 lm and 1,665 / 1,850 / 1,850 lm at 3000 K / 4000 K / 5700 K. 1200 mm: 42 W — output not recorded, ask us. CRI ≥80, 120° beam, 40,000 hrs, NOT dimmable. Pressed sheet metal, white powder coated, opal polycarbonate diffuser. Surface mounted or suspended. 240 V AC, IP44 from the underside once installed. Warranty 3 years.

A switch on the LED driver. The 600 mm runs at 10 W or 21 W — 900 or 1,850 lumens at 4000 K. As the manufacturer puts it, if the area is too bright you press the switch and the output drops by almost half. It means you do not have to get the specification right before you buy: put it up, look at it, and change it.
That is what the range is for — it is a direct replacement for T8 and T5 battens with a "quick fix" mounting designed for the swap. You lose the starter, the ballast and the tube replacements, and you gain full output the instant it switches on with no flicker or warm-up, rated for 40,000 hours. One thing to note: old fluorescent tubes contain mercury and should not go in general waste, so check your council’s disposal arrangements when you take them down.
A 600 mm T8 fluorescent is typically 18 W plus ballast losses for around 1,200 lumens. The BOLT gives 1,850 lumens at 21 W, or 900 lumens at 10 W — so roughly half the power for the same light, depending which setting you use.
No. The wattage switch gives two fixed levels and that is all, so do not put it on a dimmer circuit. If you need continuous control in a workshop or garage, tell us and we will suggest an alternative.
IP44 applies from the underside once the batten is installed into the ceiling — it is not a sealed weatherproof fitting. It is fine in a laundry, a garage, a covered carport ceiling or a bathroom outside the shower zone, and not for an exposed position or anywhere water can reach the back of it.
Either. Suspending is worth considering in a high garage or workshop: dropping the batten closer to the work is more effective than fitting a brighter one at the ceiling.
Not recorded in any source we hold. It is 42 W, but we will not simply double the 600 mm figures because output does not scale exactly with length. Ask us and we will get them from Domus.
