The Domus BOLT-SLIM-120 is a 1,200 mm slim LED batten with four selectable wattages — 20 / 25 / 35 / 40 W — and tri-colour switching, in pressed sheet metal with a white powder coat and a high-transparency opal polycarbonate diffuser.
| Setting | 3000 K |
|---|---|
| 20 W | 2,870 lm |
| 25 W | 3,580 lm |
| 35 W | 4,725 lm |
| 40 W | 5,445 lm |
Our record lists a bulb type of T8. ⚠ It is an integrated LED batten with no replaceable lamp at all.
1,200 mm slim LED batten. Quad wattage 20 / 25 / 35 / 40 W and tri-colour 3000 / 4000 / 5700 K, both switched on the LED driver. Up to 5,445 lm at 40 W / 3000 K. CRI ≥80. 120° beam. ⭐ 50,000 hrs. 240 V AC. Pressed sheet metal with white powder coat and an opal polycarbonate diffuser. Surface mounted or suspended. ⛔ Not dimmable. ⛔ No emergency battery. ⛔ IP: the title and our record say IP20; the datasheet says IP44. We have published IP20 as the conservative reading — treat it as an indoor dry-area fitting and ask us if you need it anywhere damp. ⛔ Our record lists a T8 bulb type; the fitting is integrated LED with no replaceable lamp. ⛔ Warranty not recorded.
Supplied and supported by Lights For You.
We have published IP20, and here is why. The product title says IP20 and our record says IP20; the datasheet says IP44. That is two sources against one, and it is also the safe direction — a batten sold as IP20 that turns out to be IP44 disappoints nobody, while the reverse puts a fitting in a bathroom it is not rated for. We checked the pattern across the catalogue: 18 products have a record IP disagreeing with their sheet, and in every one of the nine cases where the title carries an IP, the title backs the record. Treat this as an indoor dry-area batten, and ask us if you need it somewhere damp.
Four — 20, 25, 35 and 40W, giving 2,870, 3,580, 4,725 and 5,445 lumens at 3000K. Our record lists only 20W, which is incomplete. Four steps is unusually fine control for a batten and it is the main reason to choose this over the dual-wattage BOLT: in a retrofit where 40W glares and 20W is too dim, you have two settings in between rather than none.
No. Our record lists a T8 bulb type and that is wrong — it is an integrated LED batten with no replaceable lamp at all. What is true is that it replaces T8 and T5 fluorescent battens, with a quick-fix mounting designed for that retrofit, which is presumably where the entry came from. When the LEDs eventually reach end of life the fitting is replaced rather than re-lamped.
At installation, with the fitting open — both switches are on the LED driver inside. Decide before the electrician closes it up. The advantage of four steps is that you can also come back and change your mind once you have seen the space lit, though that does mean a ladder and a screwdriver.
Two differences. This has no emergency battery — it is the plain batten, and the BOLT-EM range is the one with the AS/NZS 2293 emergency function. And this is rated to 50,000 hours against the BOLT-EM's 40,000, a quarter as long again, which on a large fit-out is a real difference in replacement cycles. If you need emergency backup, the BOLT-EM is the fitting; if you do not, this is the longer-lived one.
No. What it has instead is four fixed wattage steps, which covers a lot of the same ground for a workspace — you set the level once at the right brightness rather than controlling it live. If you genuinely need dimming, whether for a control system or for scene setting, ask us and we will find a batten that supports it.
Yes. CRI ≥80 is the accepted threshold for general workplace lighting and it is where you want to be for tasks where colour matters at all — reading, assembly, sorting. It is notably better than the ≥70 of the floodlights in this catalogue. For colour-critical work such as paint matching or photography you would want ≥90, and we can suggest something.
