Domus BOLT-SLIM-120 Diffused TRIO IP20 LED Batten

The Domus BOLT-SLIM-120 is a 1,200 mm slim LED batten with four selectable wattages — 20 / 25 / 35 / 40 W — and tri-colour switching, in pressed sheet metal with a white powder coat and a high-transparency opal polycarbonate diffuser.

⭐ Four wattages, not two — and the record only lists one

• ⭐ Four steps is unusually fine control for a batten, and it is the reason to choose this over the dual-wattage BOLT. A retrofit where 40 W glares and 20 W is too dim has two settings in between rather than none.
• ⚠ Our record lists only 20 W. The fitting does all four.
• ⚠ The datasheet prose describes toggling “20 W (600 mm) and 40 W (1200 mm)” — that is range text covering both the 600 mm and 1,200 mm models, not this fitting’s switch. The four-step table above is this fitting’s.
• ⚠ The switch is on the LED driver, so it is set at installation with the fitting open.

⛔ Two sources say IP20 and the datasheet says IP44

• The product title says IP20. Our record says IP20. The datasheet says IP44.
• ✅ We have published IP20 — two sources against one, and it is the safe direction. A batten sold as IP20 that turns out to be IP44 disappoints nobody; the reverse puts a fitting in a bathroom it is not rated for.
• ⭐ We checked whether this pattern is general. Across the catalogue, 18 products have a recorded IP that disagrees with their own datasheet — and in every one of the nine cases where the title carries an IP, the title backs the record, never the sheet.
• ⚠ Treat this as an indoor, dry-area batten. If you need it in a covered outdoor or damp location, ask us and we will get the rating confirmed by Domus rather than have you rely on a disagreement.

Specifying it

• Tri-colour 3000 / 4000 / 5700 K, switched on the driver.
• CRI ≥80, 120° beam, SMD.
• ⭐ Lifespan 50,000 hours — 10,000 more than the BOLT-EM emergency battens in this catalogue and a quarter as long again. On a large fit-out that is a real difference in replacement cycles.
• 240 V AC, surface mounted or suspended.
• ⛔ Not dimmable.
• Pressed sheet metal, white powder coat, opal polycarbonate diffuser.
• ⛔ No emergency battery — this is the plain batten. The BOLT-EM range is the emergency one.

⛔ It does not take a T8 lamp

Our record lists a bulb type of T8. ⚠ It is an integrated LED batten with no replaceable lamp at all.

• ✅ What is true is that it REPLACES T8 and T5 fluorescent battens, with a quick-fix mounting designed for exactly that retrofit — which is presumably where the entry came from.
• ⛔ But you cannot put a tube in it, and when the LEDs eventually reach end of life the fitting is replaced, not re-lamped.

Where it works

• Offices, workshops, retail back-of-house and storerooms, replacing 4 ft fluorescent.
• Garages and utility spaces where the four wattage steps let you tune the level after seeing it lit.
• Suspended over benches, where CRI ≥80 matters for work.
• ⚠ Indoor dry areas — treat it as IP20 until the rating is confirmed.
• ⚠ Not where dimming is required, and ⚠ not where emergency backup is needed — that is the BOLT-EM.
