Domus BOLT-60-EM Diffused LED Batten

The Domus BOLT-60-EM is a 640 mm emergency LED batten with dual wattage 10 / 20 W, tri-colour switching and a LiFePO4 emergency battery, fully compliant to AS/NZS 2293.

⚠ It is called a 600 mm batten and it measures 640 mm

• The title says 600 mm (2 ft). The record and the datasheet both say 640 mm.
• ⭐ Read that as nominal against overall — 600 mm is the fluorescent size it replaces, 640 mm is the fitting including its end caps.
• ⚠ Order to 640 mm. If it is going into a fixed recess, a joinery gap or between two obstructions, the 40 mm is the difference between fitting and not.

⛔ Two things that make it NOT a smaller version of the 1,200 mm model

• ⛔ The shorter fitting is the WIDER one — 130 mm against 80 mm, on half the length. That is counter-intuitive and it is on both datasheets. ⚠ If you are mixing lengths in one space they will not look like a family, and on a narrow ceiling batten or a joinery reveal 130 mm may simply not fit.
• ⛔ The emergency duration is different: 90 minutes here, 120 on the 1,200 mm. ⚠ So the two are not interchangeable in a designed emergency layout. If your drawing specifies a duration, check which fitting it was drawn around.

The emergency specification

• Fully compliant to AS/NZS 2293. Duration 90 minutes, sustained rated. ⚠ What your building requires is set by its classification and your electrical designer.
• LiFePO4 battery, 6.4 V, 1,500 mAh at 0.2 CmA. ⭐ 7 hours to charge — the same cell as the larger model, which is why the shorter run time simply reflects the load.
• Classification C0: D50, C90: D32 — ⭐ the same as the 1,200 mm, so the two space identically even though they do not run for the same time.

The normal-mode specification

• 10 W / 20 W dual wattage and 3000 / 4000 / 5700 K, both switched on the internal driver ⚠ at installation, with the fitting open.
• Output: 3000 K 900 / 1,800 lm · 4000 K and 5700 K 1,000 / 2,000 lm.
• ⭐ Note the 10 W setting gives the same 900–1,000 lm as the 1,200 mm model’s 10 W setting — the same light from a fitting half the length, so it is proportionally brighter along its run.
• CRI ≥80, 120° beam, 40,000 hrs. ⛔ Not dimmable.
• 640 × 130 × 80 mm, metal and polycarbonate, surface mounted or suspended.

⚠ The IP44 is qualified

IP44 “from the underside of the batten once installed into the ceiling” — ⚠ not a general IP44. It describes the fitting in place with the ceiling closing the top. For a genuine damp or wash-down location, ask us.

⛔ And the warranty is two terms

3 years on the fitting, ⛔ 1 year on the battery. Our record holds only the 3-year figure. ⭐ On an emergency luminaire the battery term is the one that matters — it is the part that ages and the part that fails the periodic discharge test. Plan replacement as maintenance.

Where it works

• Short corridors, landings, lobbies and stairwell half-landings where a 1,200 mm batten would overrun.
• Storerooms, plant cupboards and back-of-house, replacing 2 ft fluorescent.
• ⚠ Not alongside 1,200 mm BOLTs where they will be seen together — the 130 mm body will not match.
• ⚠ Not as a substitute in a layout drawn around 120-minute fittings.
• ⚠ Not where dimming is required.
