The Domus BOLT-120-EM is a 1,200 mm emergency LED batten — 1,200 × 80 × 65 mm, metal and polycarbonate — with dual wattage 10 / 40 W, tri-colour switching and a LiFePO4 emergency battery, fully compliant to AS/NZS 2293.

⛔ You may have seen this fitting twice on our site

SKU 66006 sits on two listings with different addresses and different option names — “White” here and “Tri Color” on the other. They are one product and you receive the same batten from either.

  • ✅ This is the better-recorded of the two. It holds the dimensions, the material and both wattages; the other records no dimensions at all.
  • ⚠ Neither option name describes a choice you are making. There is one fitting, it is white, and it is tri-colour — the colour is set by a dip switch inside, not by which page you order from.
⛔ The warranty is two terms and the record holds one
  • 3 years on the fitting. ⛔ 1 year on the battery. Our record says “3 Years” alone; the battery term is on the datasheet and in no field.
  • ⭐ On an emergency luminaire the battery term is the one that matters — the battery ages, and it is the part that fails the periodic discharge test AS/NZS 2293 requires. The housing and the LED outlast it comfortably.
  • ✅ Treat battery replacement as planned maintenance, not a warranty claim.
The emergency specification
  • Fully compliant to AS/NZS 2293. Duration 120 minutes, sustained rated. ⚠ What your building requires is set by its classification and your electrical designer.
  • LiFePO4 battery, 6.4 V, 1,500 mAh at 0.2 CmA. ⭐ 7 hours to charge, 1.5 hours discharge — a fitting energised the morning of a handover test will not pass it.
  • Classification C0: D50, C90: D32 — ⭐ the figure a designer spaces fittings with, via the AS/NZS 2293.1 table. ⚠ Do not drop it into a layout designed around a different classification without re-checking.
The normal-mode specification
  • 10 W / 40 W dual wattage and 3000 / 4000 / 5700 K tri-colour, both switched on the internal driver — ⚠ set at installation, with the fitting open, so decide before the electrician closes it.
  • Up to 4,000 lm (1,000 / 4,000 lm at 4000 K and 5700 K; 900 / 3,600 lm at 3000 K).
  • CRI ≥80, 120° beam, SMD, 40,000 hrs. ⛔ Not dimmable.
  • 1,200 × 80 × 65 mm, metal and polycarbonate, surface mounted or suspended.
⚠ The IP44 is qualified

The datasheet states IP44 “from the underside of the batten once installed into the ceiling” — ⚠ not a general IP44. It describes the fitting in place with the ceiling closing the top, not one suspended with air all round. For a genuine damp or wash-down location, ask us before specifying it.

⭐ Replacing fluorescent battens
  • ✅ It is a direct replacement for T8 and T5 fluorescent battens, with a quick-fix mounting designed for exactly that job.
  • ⭐ The dual wattage is the useful part of a retrofit. LED replacements are frequently brighter than the fluorescents they replace, and a space that was comfortable can end up glaring. If 40 W is too much, the switch halves it — without changing the fitting.
  • ⚠ Check the existing fixing centres against 1,200 mm before ordering a quantity.

  • Corridors, stairwells and paths of travel in commercial and industrial buildings.
  • Car parks, plant rooms, storerooms and back-of-house, replacing fluorescent.
  • Anywhere normal and emergency lighting are both needed from one fitting.

Why does this batten appear twice on your site?

It does, and it is one product — SKU 66006 sits on two listings with different addresses and different option names, "White" here and "Tri Color" on the other. You receive the same batten either way. This listing is the better recorded of the two: it holds the dimensions (1,200 × 80 × 65mm), the material and both wattages, where the other records no dimensions at all.

What is the warranty?

Two terms, and only one is on the listing: 3 years on the fitting and 1 year on the battery. The battery term is on the datasheet and in no product field. On an emergency luminaire that is the term that matters, because the battery is the part that ages and the part that fails the periodic discharge test AS/NZS 2293 requires. Plan battery replacement as maintenance rather than expecting it as a warranty claim.

How long does it run in an emergency, and how long to charge?

120 minutes of emergency operation, and 7 hours to charge from flat. The charge time is worth knowing at commissioning — a fitting energised on the morning of a handover test will not pass it. Whether 120 minutes meets your requirement is set by the building's classification and your electrical designer, not by the product.

Is IP44 enough for a damp area?

Not as stated. The datasheet qualifies it: IP44 "from the underside of the batten once installed into the ceiling" — describing the fitting in place with the ceiling closing off the top, rather than one on a bench or suspended with air all round it. That covers a covered car park; it is not a wash-down rating. If your location is genuinely damp, ask us and we will check the detail or point you at a batten rated without qualification.

Will it replace my fluorescent battens?

Yes — it is a direct replacement for T8 and T5 fluorescents with a quick-fix mounting designed for the job. Check your existing fixing centres against 1,200mm before ordering a quantity. And the dual wattage is genuinely useful in a retrofit: LED replacements are often brighter than the fluorescents they replace, and a space that was comfortable can end up glaring. When do I set the wattage and colour?

At installation, with the fitting open — both are switches on the internal driver, not controls you can reach from below afterwards. So decide before the electrician closes it up. Getting it wrong means opening the fitting again, which on a ceiling-mounted batten is a ladder and a screwdriver rather than a quick change.

What does the classification mean for spacing?

C0: D50, C90: D32 is what a designer counts fittings with. It describes the shape and reach of the emergency light on the floor, and AS/NZS 2293.1 converts it into a spacing table — much more directly useful than a lumen figure, which says nothing about coverage. If you are substituting this into a layout designed around a different fitting, re-check the spacing rather than assuming it drops in.

Warranties

For all warranty claims please ensure you have your proof of purchase at hand, an invoice from your electrician from the installation and check the faulty product is within the applicable warranty period. Warranty is replacement only.

Lights For You is not responsible for damages caused by unprofessional installation, modified products or manipulated by the customer or by any other person not authorised by the manufacturer; as well as by improper use, manipulation and/or short circuits, apparent signs of improper treatment.

Faulty items: lodge warranty directly with the brand (manufacturer). Keep proof of purchase.

Damaged or Missing Items

Notification of any damages or missing items must be received by Lights For You within seven (7) days of receipt of the product. Please email photos to ashfield@lightsforyou.com.au.

If the product is to be repaired or replaced, it must correspond to the one originally sent by Lights For You and the customer must include the delivery note and/or invoice.

Change of Mind Returns

  • Customers who wish to return a product due to a change of mind or cancelled order may do so within thirty (30) days of receipt.
  • The customer is responsible for the shipping costs for a change of mind return, irrespective of any free, discounted or any other type of shipping promotion that may have been applicable at the time of your order. This includes any costs you incur for us shipping the product to you in the first place and the cost of shipping the product back to us.
