Domus BOLT-120-EM - 10/40W LED Tri-Colour 1200mm (4ft) Diffused Emergency Batten IP44

The Domus BOLT-120-EM is a 1,200 mm emergency LED batten with dual wattage 10 / 40 W, tri-colour switching and a LiFePO4 emergency battery, fully compliant to AS/NZS 2293.

⛔ The warranty is two different terms, and only one is recorded

• ⛔ Our record holds only the 3-year figure. The 1-year battery term is on the datasheet and in no product field.
• ⭐ On an emergency luminaire that is the term that matters. The battery is the part that ages, and it is the part that fails the periodic discharge test that AS/NZS 2293 requires. The housing and the LED will outlast it comfortably.
• ✅ Budget for battery replacement as a maintenance item, not as a warranty claim. That is normal for emergency lighting and it is better known in advance.

The emergency specification

• Fully compliant to AS/NZS 2293 standards.
• Duration 120 minutes. ⚠ What your building requires is set by its classification and your electrical designer, not by the fitting — check the figure against your design rather than against a rule of thumb.
• Battery: LiFePO4, 6.4 V, 1,500 mAh at 0.2 CmA. 7 hours to charge, 1.5 hours discharge. ⭐ The 7-hour charge time is a commissioning fact worth knowing — a fitting energised the morning of a handover test will not pass it.
• Sustained rated.
• Classification C0: D50, C90: D32. ⭐ This is what a designer spaces fittings with, far more directly than a lumen figure — AS/NZS 2293.1 turns the classification into a spacing table. ⚠ Do not substitute a differently classified fitting into a designed layout without re-checking the spacing.

• Tri-colour 3000 K / 4000 K / 5700 K, set by a dip switch on the internal driver.

⚠ The IP44 rating is qualified, and the qualification matters

The datasheet states IP44 “from the underside of the batten once installed into the ceiling”.

• ⚠ That is not a general IP44. It describes the fitting once it is in place with the ceiling closing off the top — not the batten sitting on a bench, and not one suspended below a ceiling with air all round it.
• ⭐ Which is the difference between a covered car park and a wet area. If the installation is a genuine damp or wash-down location, ask us; a fitting whose rating depends on how it is installed needs checking against the actual detail.
