This is a 1,800 mm downrod and wiring loom for a Domus ceiling fan, in black or white.
⛔ Confirm the fan model and your ceiling height with us before ordering. We hold two fields about this part.
What we can tell you: it is 1,800 mm long — from the title, because it is not recorded in any field — it includes the wiring loom, and it comes in black or white.
What no source records: the rod diameter, the maximum fan weight, the coupling type, which fans it fits, whether mounting hardware is included, and the warranty term. There is no datasheet.
⚠ Our record also describes this rod as having a "built-in LED". It does not — it is a steel tube and a cable.
✅ Send us your fan's model number and the ceiling height and we will confirm the correct rod with Domus. On a part that holds a spinning fan above people, that is not a detail to work out on the day.
⛔ Rod diameter. Maximum fan weight. Coupling type. Compatible fans. Included hardware. Warranty term.
None appears in the manufacturer's data or our own record, and there is no datasheet. On a structural part carrying a fan at 1.8 m of leverage, inventing any of them would be worse than leaving them out.
1,800 mm downrod with wiring loom for a Domus ceiling fan. Black or white.
⛔ No datasheet exists for this part, and its record holds two fields. The rod diameter, the maximum fan weight, the coupling type, the compatible fans, the included hardware and the warranty term are all unrecorded — and the 1,800 mm length itself appears only in the title. ⚠ Our record's "built-in LED" entry is the wrong field for a steel tube.
Send us your fan's model number and your ceiling height and we will confirm the correct rod length and the fit with Domus before you order. Installation by a licensed electrician, fixed into structure.
Supplied and supported by Lights For You.
Send us the model number and we will confirm with Domus. No source we hold lists the compatible fans, the coupling type or the rod diameter, and there is no datasheet — the record holds two fields. Downrods are rarely interchangeable between ranges because the coupling, the diameter and the loom connectors are all specific to the fan.
Roughly 4 metres and above. This is twice the length of the 900 mm rods in this range, so on anything under about 3.5 m it will put the blades near head height. Work it out before ordering: ceiling height, minus 1.8 m of rod, minus the fan body, is where the blades sit — and Australian standards set a minimum blade clearance above floor level that your electrician will apply.
Because a fan needs air above it as well as below, and because a fan at 4 metres does very little for someone sitting at 1 metre. Mounted close to a high ceiling it recirculates the same air, moves noticeably less of it, and is too far from the people it is meant to cool. Bringing it down into the occupied zone is the whole point.
It amplifies any imbalance that is already there. Wobble imperceptible on a short drop becomes visible on 1.8 metres, and the loads at the fixing point are higher because they act through a longer lever. Balance the blades carefully at commissioning, and the fixing has to be into structure — never into plasterboard alone.
Not recorded in any source, and we will not estimate it on a structural part carrying a fan at 1.8 metres of leverage. Ask us and we will get the figure from Domus. Your electrician will want it too, so it is better to have before the visit than during it.
Yes — the loom is included, made to the rod length with the correct connectors at each end, which is why it is sold as a pair rather than a bare tube. Do not extend a fan's wiring by splicing: a joined cable inside a rotating assembly is not a repair worth making, and on a 1.8 m drop it is a long way from anywhere accessible.
No — it is a steel tube and a cable. Our product record lists a "built-in LED" for this item and that is simply the wrong field rather than a wrong value.
