• ⚠ Order the whole set together. On a property using several of these, a second order placed later starts its own ten days — and a later powder-coat batch is not guaranteed to match the first.

✅ The one CHESTER bracket that records everything

⭐ Two of the four record all three dimensions and two do not — and the two gaps sit on different fields, so between them the family is fully described even though the individual listings are not. ✅ This one you can specify straight off the page.

⭐ Straight arm, facing up: what that gives you

• ✅ The shallowest projection of the four at 305 mm, tied with its down-facing twin. ⭐ So this is the bracket for a narrow passage, a side entry or a doorway reveal — the curved arms go out to around 370 mm.
• ✅ The tallest of the four at 510 mm, which reads as upright and formal.
• ✅ Lantern above the arm, so light goes up the wall as well as down and the facade becomes part of the lit surface.
• ⚠ Less light lands directly below than a down-facing bracket. For a step or a threshold, choose down-facing.
• ⚠ The lens is angled towards the eye, so use a warm 9–11 W B22 LED rather than something bright and cool.

⭐ There is a replacement lens for every CHESTER, and no listing says so

The “Requires: Lamp GT-131 Wall Bracket Straight Arm Facing Up” line on the datasheet is not a parts list. GT-131 is the CHESTER series code — every traditional-lantern family in this catalogue has one, and each has a matching GTA replacement diffuser. For CHESTER that is the GTA-131 panel set, sold separately.

• ⭐ The acrylic is the part that fails on these lanterns. UV yellows and embrittles it over years while the cast aluminium body lasts decades.
• ⭐ So a tired-looking CHESTER is usually one needing a lens, not a new fitting — and on a property with several, that is the difference between a cheap refresh and a re-spend.
• ✅ Nothing extra is required to install this bracket. The sheet line is “Requires: Lamp” (true — the lamp is not included) plus the series code plus a diagram caption, run together.

⛔ A B22 holder with no maximum wattage

One B22 lamp, not included, and no maximum recorded anywhere in the CHESTER family. ✅ B22 LED at 9–11 W, warm, enclosed and damp rated, is what we would fit. ⚠ Ask us before anything above about 15 W.
