The Domus CHESTER-LARGE wall bracket, curved arm facing up, holds the large CHESTER lantern above a curved arm — 370 mm wide × 640 mm high, die-cast aluminium with a moulded acrylic lens, IP43, taking one B22 lamp.

⭐ There is a replacement lens for it

The “Requires: Lamp GT-161…” line is the CHESTER-LARGE series code, and the series has a GTA-161 replacement acrylic panel set sold separately. ⭐ On an up-facing bracket the lens is angled towards the eye, so yellowing shows sooner here than on most configurations. ✅ Nothing extra is needed to install it.

Which bracket is this — up or down, straight or curved?

Curved arm, facing up. It needs saying plainly because the listing title does not: it reads simply "DOMUS CHESTER-LARGE WALL BRACKET" with no arm type and no direction, and the down-facing curved bracket is titled "WALL BRACKET C-ARM" — arm type but still no direction. Both record identical dimensions of 370 × 640mm, so they cannot be told apart by specification either. Only the web addresses separate them. If you are ordering both, check the SKUs rather than the titles.

How far does it stand off the wall?

Not recorded, on any of the four CHESTER-LARGE brackets — and on a wall bracket that is the clearance figure and therefore the one you most need. Ask us and we will measure one before you fit it beside a doorway or in a passage. It matters more than usual here, because this is a made-to-order fitting and a clearance problem discovered on site costs ten business days as well as the part.

Should I choose up-facing or down-facing?

What you want lit, and how formal it should look. Up-facing puts the lantern above the arm so light goes up the wall as well as down, making the facade part of the lit surface — either side of a front door an up-facing pair reads as composed. Down-facing puts the lantern lower and closer to a step, a threshold or a path, which is the better tool where people actually walk.

What is the difference between the curved and straight arms?

Size and character. The curved brackets are 370mm wide and 640mm tall; the straight ones are 350mm wide, with the up-facing at 655mm and the down-facing at 570mm. On a period or traditional frontage the curve almost always suits better; on rendered modern brickwork a straight arm can look cleaner. All four take the same lantern and all four are made to order.

How long will it take to arrive?

Domus builds this to order and asks for up to 10 business days for production before it ships. It is not held in stock — the body is powder-coated in the colour you choose after you order, which is why five colours are offered. If they are flanking a door as a matched pair, order both together: a second order starts its own ten days and a later powder-coat batch is not guaranteed to match.

Will it be glary beside a door?

It can be if you over-lamp it. The lantern sits above the arm and angled towards the eye, so you see more of the lit lens than on a down-facing bracket — and at head height beside a door that is where glare comes from. A warm B22 LED at 9–11W around 3000K gives plenty of light without the lantern becoming the brightest thing on the facade.

Can I replace the lens if it goes cloudy?

Yes — a GTA-161 panel set, the CHESTER-LARGE series replacement acrylic diffuser, is sold separately. It matters more on this configuration than most: an up-facing lens is angled towards the eye, so yellowed acrylic shows sooner here than on almost any other fitting in the range. The acrylic is what fails; the cast aluminium body lasts decades.

Warranties

For all warranty claims please ensure you have your proof of purchase at hand, an invoice from your electrician from the installation and check the faulty product is within the applicable warranty period. Warranty is replacement only.

Lights For You is not responsible for damages caused by unprofessional installation, modified products or manipulated by the customer or by any other person not authorised by the manufacturer; as well as by improper use, manipulation and/or short circuits, apparent signs of improper treatment.

Faulty items: lodge warranty directly with the brand (manufacturer). Keep proof of purchase.

Damaged or Missing Items

Notification of any damages or missing items must be received by Lights For You within seven (7) days of receipt of the product. Please email photos to ashfield@lightsforyou.com.au.

If the product is to be repaired or replaced, it must correspond to the one originally sent by Lights For You and the customer must include the delivery note and/or invoice.

Returns

Change of Mind Returns

  • Customers who wish to return a product due to a change of mind or cancelled order may do so within thirty (30) days of receipt.
  • The customer is responsible for the shipping costs for a change of mind return, irrespective of any free, discounted or any other type of shipping promotion that may have been applicable at the time of your order. This includes any costs you incur for us shipping the product to you in the first place and the cost of shipping the product back to us.

We reserve the right to refuse a return in cases where we cannot be reasonably satisfied that you purchased the product from us or where we are not responsible for the damage in accordance with our Faults & damages policy.

Cancellations

Customers who wish to cancel all or part of an order due to change of mind or incorrectly ordered may do subject to cancelling in within 12 hours, during business hours from time of purchase. Once products have been shipped, you cannot cancel them.
