The Domus CHESTER 3LT 2.47 m is a triple-head post light — 630 mm wide at 2,420 mm high, die-cast aluminium with moulded acrylic lenses, IP43, taking three B22 lamps.
Domus builds this fitting to order and asks for up to 10 business days for production before it ships. It is not picked off a shelf.
| CHESTER at 2.47 m | Heads | Width |
|---|---|---|
| 2LT | Two | 660 mm |
| 3LT (this one) | Three | ⛔ 630 mm |
The datasheet's “Requires: Lamp GT-131…” line is the CHESTER series code, and the series has a GTA-131 replacement acrylic panel set sold separately.
⭐ On a triple that is worth real money. The acrylic is the part that fails on these lanterns — UV yellows and embrittles it while the cast body lasts decades — and replacing three lenses is a fraction of replacing a post. ⚠ Replace all three at once, or one clear lens among two yellowed ones will be more obvious than the yellowing was.
Triple-head post light on a 2.47 m post. Die-cast aluminium with moulded acrylic lenses. IP43. 220–240 V AC. Three B22 lamps — not included. 630 mm wide, 2,420 mm recorded height. Made in Italy, assembled and powder-coated in Australia. Beige, Black, Burgundy, Green or White. ⚠ Warranty 1 year. ⛔ No per-lamp maximum wattage and no total for three holders — 180 W of incandescent is unconfirmed; use LED. ⛔ No footing specification or wind rating on the heaviest arrangement in the range. ⚠ Narrower than the twin at the same height, so the heads are clustered rather than in a line — ask us for a photograph. ⭐ A GTA-131 replacement acrylic panel set is sold separately.
Supplied and supported by Lights For You.
Not recorded, and the dimensions suggest something worth checking. This triple is 630mm wide where the twin at the same 2.47m height is 660mm — three lanterns in a row would be considerably wider than two, not narrower, so the heads are almost certainly clustered or arranged triangularly around the post. That is a reading of the figures rather than a recorded fact, and it changes how the fitting looks from every angle. Ask us for a photograph before specifying it.
Not recorded — no per-lamp figure and no total, in any source. With three holders this stops being a globe question entirely: three 60W incandescents would be 180W on one post and nothing confirms the fitting or its wiring supports that. Three B22 LEDs at 9–11W each draw 27–33W between them and run cool. Ask us before fitting anything but LED.
Not recorded on any CHESTER post, and this is the heaviest arrangement in the family — three lanterns at 2.42m, the greatest mass and sail area even at the narrower 630mm width. Nothing states the footing depth, base plate size, fixing pattern or wind rating. Settle it with us before the concreter is on site; it is set in concrete long before anyone tests the light and it is the one thing that cannot be corrected afterwards.
Yes, and on a triple it is worth real money. A GTA-131 panel set — the CHESTER series replacement acrylic diffuser — is sold separately, and replacing three lenses costs a fraction of replacing a post. The acrylic is what fails on these lanterns: UV yellows and embrittles it over years while the cast body lasts decades. Replace all three at once, though — one clear lens among two yellowed ones will be more obvious than the yellowing was.
Yes, and more so than on a twin. On a triple a mismatch is visible from any approach angle rather than just one, and there is no arrangement of three lanterns where an odd one out looks deliberate. Buy all three together, same brand and same colour temperature, and keep a spare from the same batch — a replacement bought two years later will not match, even from the same manufacturer.
Usually, yes. Three heads at 2.42m is a substantial object, and on a domestic frontage it reads as institutional rather than residential. It belongs at an entrance, a turning circle, the end of a long driveway or a commercial approach. If you want presence at a house entrance, a pair of twin-head posts flanking the drive usually looks better than one triple.
No. The line reads "Requires: Lamp GT-131 Wall Bracket Straight Arm Facing Up", which is three separate things on the sheet run together: "Requires: Lamp", true because the lamps are not included; "GT-131", the CHESTER lantern series code; and the caption of one of the sheet's diagrams. Every traditional-lantern family in this catalogue has such a code, and each has a matching GTA replacement diffuser.
