The Domus CHESTER 3LT 2.47 m is a triple-head post light — 630 mm wide at 2,420 mm high, die-cast aluminium with moulded acrylic lenses, IP43, taking three B22 lamps.

Domus builds this fitting to order and asks for up to 10 business days for production before it ships. It is not picked off a shelf.

• ⭐ That is the trade-off for the finish choice. The body is powder-coated in the colour you pick after you order, which is why the range offers five rather than one stocked colour.
• ⚠ Plan the lead time into the job. If it is needed for a handover, a settlement or a booked electrician, tell us the date when you order and we will confirm the production window with Domus.
• ⚠ Order the whole set together. On a property using several of these, a second order placed later starts its own ten days — and a later powder-coat batch is not guaranteed to match the first.

⛔ Three heads in less width than two — so they are not in a line

• ⛔ Three lanterns in a row would be considerably wider than two, not narrower. So the heads are almost certainly clustered or arranged triangularly around the post rather than strung along a crossbar.
• ⚠ That is a reading of the dimensions, not a recorded fact. No source states the head arrangement.
• ⭐ It changes how the fitting looks from every angle, which on the most prominent light on a property is worth settling. Ask us for a photograph before specifying it.
• ⚠ The AVIGNON range shows the same anomaly the other way round — its triple is wider than its twin. So there is no house convention to lean on.

⛔ Three lamp holders, and no wattage figure at all

• ⛔ No per-lamp maximum. No total for the three. Not in the record, not on the datasheet.
• ⭐ With three holders this stops being a globe question entirely. Three 60 W incandescents would be 180 W on one post, and nothing confirms the fitting or its wiring supports it.
• ✅ Three B22 LEDs at 9–11 W each draw 27–33 W between them and run cool. That is what we would fit, and it removes the question.
• ⚠ Ask us before fitting anything but LED.
• ⚠ Three matched lamps, bought together. On a triple a mismatch is obvious from any approach angle, and buying a replacement two years later will not match.

⛔ And no footing data on the heaviest head arrangement in the range

• ⛔ No footing depth, base plate size, fixing pattern or wind rating on any CHESTER post.
• ⚠ Three lanterns at 2.42 m is the greatest mass and sail area in the family, even at the narrower 630 mm width.
• ⭐ Settle the footing with us before the concreter is on site. It is the one thing here that cannot be corrected afterwards.

⭐ There is a replacement lens — and on a triple that matters three times over

The datasheet's “Requires: Lamp GT-131…” line is the CHESTER series code, and the series has a GTA-131 replacement acrylic panel set sold separately.

⭐ On a triple that is worth real money. The acrylic is the part that fails on these lanterns — UV yellows and embrittles it while the cast body lasts decades — and replacing three lenses is a fraction of replacing a post. ⚠ Replace all three at once, or one clear lens among two yellowed ones will be more obvious than the yellowing was.
