The Domus CELL-T90 is a tilt frame for the CELL downlight module series, 115 × 115 × 50 mm, in black or white. Cutout Ø80 mm.
⛔ Read the cutout, not the name. A "T90" frame takes Ø80 mm, not 90 mm.
That matters because 90 mm is the standard Australian downlight aperture, so the obvious reading of the name is that this drops into an existing ceiling. It does not — a hole already cut to 90 mm is too big for this frame.
✅ Two independent sources agree: this frame's own record says Ø80 mm, and the CELL-9-T90 downlight's datasheet gives Ø80–85 mm. Elsewhere in the same range the naming is reliable — the D90 takes Ø90 mm and the D75 takes Ø75 mm — which is exactly what makes this one worth flagging.
✅ If you need tilt in an existing Ø90 mm hole, the CELL-DT90 frame is the one — it takes Ø90 mm.
| Frame | Cutout | Body | Depth | What it does |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| T90 (this) | Ø80 mm | 115 × 115 mm | 50 mm | Tilt, shallow |
| DT90 | Ø90 mm | 90 × 90 mm | 70 mm | Tilt, deep — ✅ standard hole |
| D75 / D90 | Ø75 / Ø90 mm | 90 × 90 mm | 70 mm | Fixed, deep — low glare |
| S1 / S2 / S3 | Ø70–75 mm | 100 mm square, or 190 / 290 mm long | 50 mm | Fixed, shallow, one to three apertures |
| K75 / P75 | Ø70 mm | 95 × 95 mm | 50 mm | Keyhole / pinhole apertures |
| W90 | Ø88 mm | 110 × 110 mm | 70 mm | Wall washer |
✅ Tell us the hole you have, or the effect you want, and we will pick the frame.
Black recedes into the aperture and reduces the apparent glare of the module behind it — which is why black trims are common on anti-glare fittings. White disappears into a white ceiling.
✅ Match the frame to the module unless the contrast is deliberate.
Tilt frame for the Domus CELL downlight module series. Cutout Ø80 mm. Body 115 × 115 × 50 mm. Black or white.
⛔ Despite the "T90" name the cutout is Ø80 mm, not 90 mm — corroborated by this frame's own record and by the CELL-9-T90 downlight's datasheet (Ø80–85 mm). ✅ For tilt in a standard Ø90 mm hole, use the CELL-DT90 frame.
⛔ The CELL module and its driver are sold separately — CELL-9 or CELL-13, in 15°, 24°, 36° or 60°, Trio or DALI. ⚠ Allow for the module above the frame: Trio 56 mm, DALI 68 mm. Warranty 3 years.
Supplied and supported by Lights For You.
No — and this is the most important thing on the page, because the name says otherwise. A "T90" frame takes Ø80 mm. Two independent sources agree: this frame's own record, and the CELL-9-T90 downlight's datasheet at Ø80–85 mm. A hole already cut to the standard 90 mm is too big for it. If you need tilt in an existing 90 mm hole, the CELL-DT90 frame is the one.
We do not know, and we are not going to rationalise it. What we can show is that it is inconsistent rather than systematically wrong: the D90 does take Ø90 mm and the D75 does take Ø75 mm, so the numbers are reliable elsewhere in the same range. That is exactly why the T90 is worth flagging — you would have no reason to doubt it.
Depth. This one is 50 mm against the DT90's 70 mm, so it gives you a tilting aperture in a void that could not take the deep frame — a converted space, a bulkhead, a ceiling with ducting above it. The price is a bigger footprint at 115 × 115 mm, the largest CELL frame body, and a smaller hole at Ø80 mm.
No — a frame is not a light. The CELL module and its driver are a separate purchase: CELL-9 (9 W) or CELL-13 (13 W), in Trio or DALI. The module is also what carries the beam angle and the five colour temperatures, so buying a frame plus a module is the only way to get a beam other than 60° in the CELL system.
More than the frame's 50 mm, because the module sits above it: Trio modules are 56 mm deep and DALI modules 68 mm. So a shallow frame with a DALI module can end up deeper overall than a deep frame with a Trio module. Tell us the void depth and which module you want, and we will do that arithmetic rather than leave it to be found on site.
The CELL modules state IC-4 on their datasheets, which is the only insulation-contact rating we have found anywhere in this catalogue. But the frame is part of the assembly, so ask us and we will confirm the rating for the specific frame-and-module pairing in writing rather than have you infer it from the module alone.
115 × 115 mm — the Ø80 mm hole is not the only constraint, and this is the largest body in the CELL frame range. On a retrofit in particular, the existing hole tells you nothing about what is beside it.
