The Domus CELL-S3 is a three-light slotter frame for the CELL downlight module series, 290 × 100 mm, in black or white.
✅ Three apertures in one trim, aligned and evenly spaced by the frame itself.
Setting out three downlights in a row and getting them level, parallel and evenly spaced is fiddly, and any error is visible for the life of the ceiling. A frame does it for you — and reads as a deliberate detail rather than three holes.
⚠ Two figures come from its siblings rather than from its own record. This listing holds only a length, a width and a warranty:
| Figure | Source | |
|---|---|---|
| Cutout per aperture | Ø70–75 mm | The shared frame datasheet |
| Depth | 50 mm | ⚠ The CELL-S1 and S2, which are 50 mm |
Ask us and we will confirm both with Domus before anyone marks a ceiling.
| Frame | Apertures | Body |
|---|---|---|
| CELL-S1 | 1 | 100 × 100 mm |
| CELL-S2 | 2 | 190 × 100 mm |
| CELL-S3 (this) | 3 | 290 × 100 mm |
Black recedes into the apertures and reduces the apparent glare of the modules behind them; white disappears into a white ceiling. ✅ Match the frame to the modules — over three apertures a mismatch is three times as visible.
Three-light slotter frame for the Domus CELL downlight module series. Body 290 × 100 mm. Black or white.
⚠ Cutout Ø70–75 mm per aperture, from the shared frame datasheet — this listing records no diameter of its own. ⚠ Depth taken as 50 mm from the CELL-S1 and S2; this listing records no height either. We will confirm both with Domus before you cut.
⛔ Three CELL modules and their drivers are sold separately — CELL-9 or CELL-13, in 15°, 24°, 36° or 60°, Trio or DALI. ⚠ Allow for three drivers above a 290 mm frame. Warranty 3 years.
Supplied and supported by Lights For You.
Ø70–75 mm per aperture, from the shared frame datasheet — this listing records no diameter of its own. It also records no depth; we have taken 50 mm from the CELL-S1 and S2, which are that deep. Ask us and we will confirm both with Domus before anyone marks a ceiling.
Alignment. Setting out three downlights in a row and getting them level, parallel and evenly spaced is fiddly, and any error is visible for the life of the ceiling. The frame does it for you, and it reads as a deliberate detail rather than three holes — particularly over an island, a long bench or a reception desk.
Yes, and it is one of the better reasons to use CELL. A 60° module in the centre for general light with 24° modules either side to pick out what is below is a common and effective arrangement. What you cannot do is aim them at wildly different targets, because all three share one aperture line — for that you want separate fittings.
No — a frame is not a light. You need three CELL modules and their drivers: CELL-9 (9 W) or CELL-13 (13 W), in Trio or DALI. Three modules also means three drivers to house above a 290 mm frame, so check the void and tell us if it is tight.
Real clearance — at 290 mm long it has to sit between joists or battens rather than across one, and it needs to be set out square to the room. A long rectangular trim shows rotation in a way a round one hides, so an out-of-square run is visible from across the room.
Not technically, but yes in practice. Three apertures 100 mm apart make a colour mismatch unmissable — far more obvious than the same difference between two downlights across a room. Set every module in one frame to the same colour temperature before they go up.
Yes — all three take the same modules and the same aperture size, so they mix in one room and read as one family. A row of three over an island with singles elsewhere in the kitchen is a common arrangement and the trims match.
