The Domus BOOST-10 is a 10 W anti-glare deep-set downlight in black or white — 800 lumens, IP54, CRI above 83, a 90° beam, switchable 3000 K / 4000 K / 5700 K, and a five-year warranty.
✅ IP54 is the reason to look at this over a standard downlight. Most general-purpose downlights are IP20 — indoor and dry only. IP54 adds dust protection and splash resistance from any direction, which means:
For a fitting positioned as the value option in the range, that is a genuinely useful specification.
✅ Together that makes it comfortable in a bedroom — the flat-fascia SWAP-SLEEK, at a similar price, is noticeably harder on the eye at a shallow angle. If people lie down under it, this is the better of the two.
Wide and even. Plan roughly 2 m spacing from a 2.4 m ceiling. It lights a room; it does not pick things out. For accenting, the 36° DEEP-13 or the 24° PICO are the fittings.
The warranty here is five years, which is longer than the three years most of this catalogue carries. On a fitting explicitly built to a price, that is worth noting.
Fully dimmable with a suitable dimmer, supplied with a dimmable LED driver and flex-and-plug — your electrician is not sourcing a driver. ⚠ Tell us which dimmer you plan to use.
⚠ The colour is set on a dip switch at the back, before installation, and the top setting is 5700 K — colder than the 5000 K many people expect. Decide first, and set every fitting in a room the same.
Cutout Ø90 mm, face Ø110 mm, height 40 mm, black or white. 10 W SMD LED giving 750 / 780 / 800 lm at 3000 K / 4000 K / 5700 K, dip switch, set before installation; CRI ≥83, 90° beam, 40,000 hrs, anti-glare deep-set frame with an opal diffuser. Fully dimmable with a suitable dimmer; dimmable driver and flex-and-plug supplied. 220–240 V AC, IP54 — dust protected and splash resistant. ✅ Warranty 5 years.
Supplied and supported by Lights For You.
Most general-purpose downlights are IP20 — indoor and dry only. IP54 adds dust protection and splash resistance from any direction. Dust is the practical one: it cannot accumulate inside the lens, which is what actually dims a downlight over ten years. It also makes the fitting usable in a bathroom outside the shower zone, a laundry, or a covered outdoor ceiling, subject to your electrician and AS/NZS 3000.
Yes — more so than a flat-fascia fitting at a similar price. It has two glare controls: a deep-set frame that recesses the source, and an opal diffuser that spreads whatever escapes, so there is no bright point even looking directly up at it. If people lie down under it, this is the better choice than the SWAP-SLEEK.
About 2 metres from a 2.4 m ceiling, given the wide 90° beam. It lights a room rather than picking things out — for accenting, the 36° DEEP-13 or the 24° PICO are the fittings.
The datasheet is candid that the BOOST range incorporates cost-saving materials, and this is where that shows — the mainstream Domus downlights claim 50,000. At ordinary domestic use, 40,000 hours is still well over twenty years. Domus do specify a thermal management system in this range, which is the right thing to spend on, since heat is what shortens LED life.
Five years — longer than the three years most of this catalogue carries, which is worth noting on a fitting explicitly built to a price.
Yes, fully, with a suitable dimmer — and it comes with its dimmable LED driver and a flex-and-plug, so your electrician is not sourcing one. Tell us which dimmer you plan to use and we will confirm the pairing.
No — 5700 K, colder and bluer. It is set on a dip switch at the back before installation, so decide first and set every fitting in a room the same.
