Bluetooth RF 5-1 Universal Controller

The Domus CHAM-BT-RF-5C is a 5-channel LED controller for 12–24 V DC constant-voltage lighting, controllable by remote, touch wall panel or Bluetooth from a phone, and working with Google and Alexa. 150 × 50 × 30 mm, 48 W at 12 V or 96 W at 24 V.

Five channels, and what each configuration uses

• Single colour — one channel. Dimming only.
• Tunable white — two channels. Warm and cool LEDs mixed to any point between.
• RGB — three channels.
• RGBW — four channels: colour plus a dedicated white.
• ✅ Five channels covers all of them, which is what “universal” means here — one controller for whatever strip you end up using, rather than a different unit per type.
• ✅ RGBW is worth understanding: a dedicated white channel gives a proper white, where mixing red, green and blue to make white gives a colour cast. If the strip will spend most of its life on white, choose RGBW.

Three ways to control it, and they coexist

• RF remote — no line of sight needed, so the controller can be hidden in a ceiling void or behind joinery.
• Touch wall panel — for a fixed position, which is what most people actually want in a living room.
• Bluetooth from a phone, with the app — and ✅ Google and Alexa are supported, which is stated plainly in Domus's own description.
• ✅ A wall panel plus a phone is usually the right combination. The panel is what guests and family use; the phone is for scenes and scheduling.

The load limits, and why they differ by voltage

• 48 W at 12 V, 96 W at 24 V.
• ✅ The controller is current-limited, not power-limited — at twice the voltage it carries twice the power for the same current. That is another reason to run 24 V rather than 12 V wherever the strip allows it.
• ⚠ Work out the load before ordering. A 10 W/m strip at 24 V gives you roughly 9 metres on one controller; a 20 W/m strip gives roughly 4.5 m. Tell us the strip and the run length and we will check it.
• ⚠ The driver must be sized above the load as well, and it is a separate item.

Installing it

• 150 × 50 × 30 mm — small enough to sit in a ceiling void, in a joinery cavity or beside the driver.
• IP20 — it needs a dry, protected position. ⚠ Not in a bathroom cavity that can get damp, and not outdoors.
• ✅ RF and Bluetooth mean it does not need to be visible, which is the point of hiding it — but ⚠ do not bury it where it cannot be reached. It is an electronic part and it will outlive neither the building nor, necessarily, the strip.
