Domus BF-2607B Raw Ceramic Interior Wall Light

The Domus BF-2607B is a 365 mm raw ceramic wall light, only 50 mm tall, that throws light both up and down from a single G9 lamp. Supplied unpainted.

⭐ Two washes from one globe

The body is open at the top and again at the bottom, so one lamp lights the wall in both directions.

• ✅ It is the most efficient fitting in this ceramic range — a single 4 W LED G9 produces an up-wash and a down-wash, where a one-way fitting produces one.
• ✅ The two-way wash is what makes a wall look lit rather than spotted. A single uplight leaves the wall below it dark; this one carries the light down as well, so the fitting sits inside a continuous band instead of on top of a shadow.
• ⚠ Which also means it is not a reading light. Both washes graze the wall; neither is aimed into the room.

⭐ It is the flattest fitting in the range

At 50 mm high and 365 mm wide it is a slot rather than a block — a proportion of more than seven to one.

• ✅ It reads as a line on the wall, which suits a modern flush-plastered interior far better than a chunky shade does.
• ✅ The 100 mm projection is modest for the width, so it stays out of the way in a corridor where the deeper ceramics do not.

Every other raw ceramic in this batch records 1 Year. This one records nothing.

• ⚠ The likely answer is the range term of 1 year, since it is the same body, the same factory and the same construction — but likely is not a warranty.

⭐ The wattage — settled across the range

• 60 W is the lamp’s maximum, not the fitting’s. The BF sheets say 60 W whether a fitting takes one lamp or two; the BF-2185 (one G9) says 40 W; and the BF-2020 states “2x60W” in its title.
• ⚠ Heat matters more on this one than most. A 50 mm-deep ceramic body has very little air in it. Use an LED G9; do not put a 60 W halogen in here.

Where it works

• A hallway, repeated at regular centres, where the up-and-down wash joins into a continuous run of light instead of a line of bright patches.
• A stairwell — the downward component lights the wall towards the treads, which a pure uplight does not.
• Beside a bed or a doorway, where a 50 mm-tall slot is unobtrusive.
• ⚠ Not on a poorly finished wall — and this one is worse than most for it, because it grazes the plaster in both directions.

Requires 1 × G9 — not included; 60 W maximum for the lamp (⭐ resolved across the range; ⚠ use an LED in a body this shallow). Light emits up and down.
