DOMUS AVIGNON 3LT 2.4M POSTLIGHT B22

The Domus AVIGNON 3LT is a traditional exterior post light with three lantern heads on a 2.4 metre post, in die-cast aluminium with moulded acrylic lenses, IP43, taking three B22 lamps, in beige, black, burgundy, green or white. 660 mm across.

Domus builds this fitting to order and asks for up to 10 business days for production before it ships. It is not picked off a shelf.

• ⭐ That is the trade-off for the five finishes. The body is powder-coated in the colour you choose after you order, which is why the range offers Beige, Black, Burgundy, Green and White rather than one stocked colour.
• ⚠ Plan the lead time into the job. If it is needed for a handover, a settlement or a booked electrician, tell us the date when you order and we will confirm the production window with Domus.
• ⚠ Order the whole set together. On a property using several of these, a second order placed later starts its own ten days — and a later powder-coat batch is not guaranteed to match the first.

⛔ Three lamp holders, and no wattage figure of any kind

• No per-lamp maximum, and no total for the three together. ⚠ The gap that doubled on the twin triples here.
• ✅ Three LED B22 at 9–11 W draw around 30 W between them and run cool inside sealed lenses.
• ⛔ With incandescent or halogen this becomes a real circuit question — three 60 W lamps would be 180 W on one post, and no source confirms the fitting supports it. Ask us before fitting anything but LED.
• ⚠ Fit three identical globes and replace them together. Three heads clustered on one post are seen at once, and a single odd lamp is unmissable.

⚠ The footing carries the heaviest head arrangement in the range

• Three lanterns at 2.4 m is the greatest weight and the greatest wind area in the AVIGNON range.
• ⛔ No footing specification, wind rating or post weight is recorded on any AVIGNON post. ⚠ On this one that omission matters most. Ask us and we will get what Domus specifies before anything is dug.
• ⚠ A clustered head arrangement loads the base more evenly than a twin does, which helps — but only if the reading of the dimensions is right.
• ✅ The footing is a groundwork job that precedes the electrician. Plan it.

Where a triple head belongs

• ✅ A formal entrance. Three lanterns on one post is a deliberate statement, and it reads as one on a gated driveway, a circular turning area or a large forecourt.
• ✅ The centre of an open space, where light is wanted in every direction from a single point — which is what a clustered arrangement is for.
• ⛔ Not a suburban front garden. At 2.4 m with three lanterns it will overwhelm a small frontage, and the twin or a single head does the job with less presence.
• ⛔ Not in a run. Two or three of these down a drive is far more light and far more object than a driveway needs; single heads are the fitting for a run.

⚠ IP43, three lenses, and the most exposed position in the range

• Spray falling at up to 60° from vertical — not driven rain, not hosing.
• ⚠ At 2.4 m in an open forecourt this fitting stands clear of everything. This is the height and the position at which IP43 is worth questioning.
• ⚠ Three acrylic lenses in full sun all day. Acrylic can craze; that is three replaceable parts on the most visible fitting on the property. ✅ The die-cast body will outlast them all.
• Tell us the exposure and we will say whether it suits.

⭐ Seven configurations of one lantern

✅ A triple at the turning circle, twins at the gate, single heads down the drive, pillar mounts on the piers, a wall bracket at the door. One lantern, five mountings, one scheme.

⚠ No page in the catalogue says the others exist. Tell us the positions and we will quote the set. ⚠ Its datasheet's "Requires: Lamp GT-271 Wall Bracket" line is the AVIGNON series code plus a diagram caption — and a GTA-271 replacement acrylic panel set is sold separately.
