DOMUS AVIGNON 2LT 2.05M POSTLIGHT B22

The Domus AVIGNON 2LT is a traditional exterior post light with two lantern heads on a 2.05 metre post, in die-cast aluminium with moulded acrylic lenses, IP43, taking two B22 lamps, in beige, black, burgundy, green or white. 640 mm across.

⛔ This item is made to order

Domus builds this fitting to order and asks for up to 10 business days for production before it ships. It is not picked off a shelf.

• ⭐ That is the trade-off for the five finishes. The body is powder-coated in the colour you choose after you order, which is why the range offers Beige, Black, Burgundy, Green and White rather than one stocked colour.
• ⚠ Plan the lead time into the job. If it is needed for a handover, a settlement or a booked electrician, tell us the date when you order and we will confirm the production window with Domus.
• ⚠ Order the whole set together. On a property using several of these, a second order placed later starts its own ten days — and a later powder-coat batch is not guaranteed to match the first.

⛔ Two lamp holders, and no wattage figure of any kind

• No per-lamp maximum, and no total for the two together. ⚠ On a twin that gap doubles: a customer sizing a circuit or choosing globes has neither number.
• ✅ Two LED B22 at 9–11 W draw around 20 W between them and run cool inside sealed acrylic lenses, which removes the question in practice.
• ⛔ If you intend incandescent or halogen, ask us first and we will get both figures from Domus.
• ⚠ Fit two identical globes and replace them as a pair. Two heads 640 mm apart on one post are seen together, so a colour or output mismatch is obvious in a way it would not be between two separate posts.

⚠ 640 mm across, at 2 metres up

• The single-head posts are 215 mm wide; this is 640 mm.
• ⚠ At head height that width is in the space people move through. Beside a driveway, allow for wing mirrors; beside a path, for anyone carrying something. ✅ At 2.05 m the lanterns are above shoulder height, which is most of why this is the more usable twin.
• ⚠ And the footing carries an off-centre load when wind loads one side. ⛔ No footing specification or wind rating is recorded on any AVIGNON post. Ask us for what Domus specifies before anything is dug.

⚠ IP43, and two lenses to maintain

• Spray falling at up to 60° from vertical — not driven rain, not hosing.
• ⚠ At 2.05 m the lanterns stand clear of planting and fences, so they catch more weather than a low post tucked into a bed. Tell us how sheltered the entrance is.
• ⚠ Two moulded acrylic lenses rather than one, and acrylic can craze under years of full sun — two replaceable parts on a fitting at the most visible point on the property. ✅ The die-cast aluminium body will outlast both.

Choosing the globes

• Two LED B22 at 9–11 W, 2700–3000 K.
• ✅ Warm light at an entrance reads as welcome; cooler reads as security, which is rarely what you want at a front gate.
• ✅ At 2.05 m a filament globe becomes defensible, because the lanterns are above the eyeline for anyone approaching — unlike on the 1.4 m twin, where opal is the safer choice.

⚠ No page in the catalogue says the others exist. Tell us the positions and we will quote the set. ⭐ Its datasheet's "Requires: Lamp GT-271 Wall Bracket" line is not a parts list — GT-271 is the AVIGNON series code, and a matching GTA-271 replacement acrylic panel set is sold separately. Worth knowing, because the acrylic is what fails on these lanterns.
