Aqua-13-Tilt - 13W Led Dimmable Deep Face Tiltable Wet Area Downlight Ip65 240V

The Domus AQUA-13-TILT is a 13 W IP65 tiltable wet-area downlight — CRI above 90, a 60° beam, switchable 3000 K / 4000 K / 5700 K, in black or white, in TRIO or DALI.

IP65 — and what that lets you do

IP65 is dust tight and protected against water jets from any direction. On a downlight that is a high rating, and it opens up placements most fittings cannot take:

• Bathrooms and ensuites, including closer to the shower than an IP44 fitting.
• Laundries and covered outdoor areas — alfresco ceilings, verandahs, carports.
• Above a bath.

⚠ Your electrician still sites it to the zones in AS/NZS 3000 — the rating is a capability, not a permission. And it is rated −20 °C to 45 °C, which covers an Australian eave comfortably.

The 5700 K question — and a correction

The three settings are 3000 K, 4000 K and 5700 K. Our own product record said 5000 K for the top setting; the datasheet says 5700 K, and we have published that.

• 3000 K — warm. Restful, and the choice if the bathroom opens off a bedroom.
• 4000 K — the right answer for most bathrooms. Near enough to daylight that makeup applied under it still reads correctly outdoors, and with CRI 90+ behind it that is a genuinely good result.
• ⚠ 5700 K — colder and bluer than the 5000 K you may be expecting. Excellent in a laundry or a garage; harsh in a bathroom you linger in. It is set on a dip switch before installation and cannot be changed from a switch afterwards, so this is worth getting right.

TRIO or DALI — a real fork, not a finish choice

• TRIO — dimmable from a standard suitable dimmer. This is what you want in a house.
• DALI — addressable digital control, for a building management or lighting-control system. It gives per-fitting addressing and scene control, and it needs a DALI bus and a controller. ⚠ Do not buy DALI for a domestic bathroom unless you already have the system to drive it.

The rest of the numbers

• 1,130 lm at 3000 K, 1,300 lm at 4000 K, 1,220 lm at 5700 K.
• 100 lm/W at 4000 K — efficient for a sealed wet-area fitting.
• Power factor ≥0.9, which matters if you are running a lot of them on one circuit.
• Cutout Ø90–95 mm — a usefully forgiving range — face Ø110 mm, height 49.5 mm.
• 50,000 hours, aluminium body.

✅ At 49.5 mm it is shallow, which is the practical difference from the deep-set DEEP-13: this one fits where there is very little ceiling space.

Where it works

• Bathrooms, ensuites and above a bath — IP65, and CRI 90+ for faces.
• Laundries, alfresco ceilings, verandahs and carports.
• Shallow ceilings — only 49.5 mm deep.
• ⚠ Choose 4000 K unless you have a reason not to. 5700 K is colder than 5000.
• ⚠ Buy TRIO unless you have a DALI system.
