Product Description
xThe Domus ALLEGRA-FL is a floor lamp taking a single E27 globe, in black, white or satin chrome.
⛔ We are not publishing this lamp's height, because the figures we hold do not describe one object.
Our record carries a height of 580 mm alongside a width of 240 mm, a length of 410 mm and a depth of 580 mm. 580 mm is table-lamp height — for comparison, the STRAP floor lamp in the same range records 1,520 mm. Either the 580 mm belongs to a component rather than the lamp, or the fields have been filled from the wrong source.
If the dimension matters — and for a floor lamp beside a particular chair it always does — ask us and we will measure one before it ships. That is a five-minute job at our end and a returned parcel at yours.
What you are choosing when you buy a lamp-holder floor lamp
- ✅ You choose the light, and you can change it. A single E27 takes almost anything — warm or neutral, opal or filament, dimmable or not — and swapping it is a ten-second job.
- ✅ It outlasts its light source. An integrated-LED floor lamp is furniture that stops working when the LED does.
- ✅ Three finishes — black, white and satin chrome — so it can be matched to a room rather than defaulting to black.
- The globe is not included.
⚠ The wattage: 60 W maximum, not 25 W
The datasheet says 60 W maximum for the E27 holder. Our record says 25 W, which is not the fitting's limit — it looks like the wattage of a globe someone had in mind.
- ✅ The number that matters is 60 W, and that is what limits what you can safely fit.
- ✅ With LED it is academic. A 9 W LED E27 gives roughly what a 60 W incandescent did — you will never approach the limit, and the lamp runs cool.
- ⚠ If you are fitting an incandescent or halogen E27, 60 W is the ceiling and it should be respected. Anything more is a heat problem in a shade.
Choosing the globe for a floor lamp
- For reading: a 9–11 W LED E27 around 800–1,000 lm at 3000 K. Enough to read by without lighting the whole room.
- For atmosphere: a filament LED at 1800–2200 K, dimmed. It will not light a book, and that is the point.
- Dimming: depends entirely on the globe, not the lamp. Buy a dimmable globe and a plug-in or inline dimmer, and tell us if you want them specified together.

What is the maximum globe wattage?

Is a globe included?
No. It takes a single E27, which is the most common base there is, so almost anything fits — warm or neutral, opal or filament, dimmable or not. Tell us what the lamp is for and we will suggest a globe rather than leave you guessing.
Can I dim it?
That depends on the globe, not the lamp. Buy a dimmable E27 and a plug-in or inline dimmer and it will dim; buy a non-dimmable globe and it will not, whatever you plug it into. We can specify the pair together if you want.
Which globe should I use for reading?
A 9–11 W LED E27 giving around 800–1,000 lumens at 3000 K. That is enough to read by comfortably without lighting the whole room, which is usually what people want from a floor lamp beside a chair. For atmosphere rather than reading, a filament LED at 1800–2200 K, dimmed, is a different and equally valid choice.
What finishes does it come in?
Black, white and satin chrome. Three is unusual for a floor lamp at this level and it is worth using — a satin chrome lamp beside chrome or brushed furniture reads deliberate where a black one reads default.
Why is the warranty one year?
That is the term across the Domus decorative lamp range rather than an error on this listing, and most of this catalogue is three years. In practice a lamp-holder floor lamp has very little in it to fail: the globe is the consumable and you replace that yourself.

For all warranty claims please ensure you have your proof of purchase at hand, an invoice from your electrician from the installation and check the faulty product is within the applicable warranty period. Warranty is replacement only.
Lights For You is not responsible for damages caused by unprofessional installation, modified products or manipulated by the customer or by any other person not authorised by the manufacturer; as well as by improper use, manipulation and/or short circuits, apparent signs of improper treatment.
Faulty items: lodge warranty directly with the brand (manufacturer). Keep proof of purchase.
Damaged or Missing Items
Notification of any damages or missing items must be received by Lights For You within seven (7) days of receipt of the product. Please email photos to ashfield@lightsforyou.com.au.
If the product is to be repaired or replaced, it must correspond to the one originally sent by Lights For You and the customer must include the delivery note and/or invoice.
Returns
Change of Mind Returns
- Customers who wish to return a product due to a change of mind or cancelled order may do so within thirty (30) days of receipt.
- The customer is responsible for the shipping costs for a change of mind return, irrespective of any free, discounted or any other type of shipping promotion that may have been applicable at the time of your order. This includes any costs you incur for us shipping the product to you in the first place and the cost of shipping the product back to us.

Our Rights
We reserve the right to refuse a return in cases where we cannot be reasonably satisfied that you purchased the product from us or where we are not responsible for the damage in accordance with our Faults & damages policy.
Cancellations
Customers who wish to cancel all or part of an order due to change of mind or incorrectly ordered may do subject to cancelling in within 12 hours, during business hours from time of purchase. Once products have been shipped, you cannot cancel them.
