The Domus AURA is a 3 W recessed LED step light in die-cast aluminium with an asymmetric optic, CRI ≥90 and switchable 2700 K / 4000 K / 6000 K. Square fascia, five aperture designs, Ø35 mm cutout.
⛔ This is the 24 V version and it needs a driver. Our record says 240 V AC, and that is wrong.
It runs on 24 V DC and requires a constant-voltage LED driver, not included. ⚠ A mains entry on an extra-low-voltage fitting is the kind of error that reaches a wiring decision, and a step light is exactly what gets wired into a run without re-reading the sheet.
✅ A 240 V version of the AURA exists separately, and the two look identical. Tell us which you want.
| Fascia | Square (this) | Round |
|---|---|---|
| Narrow, Wide, Slot | ✅ | ✅ |
| Round Ring, Square Ring | ✅ | ✅ |
| Halo | ⛔ not stocked | ✅ |
If the Halo glow is the effect you are after, it is the round frame. ✅ Otherwise the two frames stock the same five apertures, so the choice is purely how the trim reads on the wall.
⚠ A square trim shows rotation where a round one hides it. On a run of step lights up a stair — seen all at once, at close range — that matters more than it does on a ceiling. Set them out to a level line.

✅ Slot or Wide where the light has to reach a tread or a floor; Narrow for a tighter wash; the Rings where the fitting is a marker. ⚠ The Square Ring in a square frame is the most graphic combination and the second dimmest — a deliberate detail rather than a light.
3 W recessed LED step light, die-cast aluminium, square fascia, asymmetric optic. Cutout Ø35 mm. Five aperture designs — Narrow, Wide, Slot, Round Ring, Square Ring — with outputs from 10 lm to 31 lm depending on the fascia and setting. Switchable 2700 K / 4000 K / 6000 K. ⭐ CRI ≥90, 50,000 hrs, IP20, black or white.
⛔ This is the 24 V DC version and requires a constant-voltage LED driver, not included. ⚠ Our record's 240 V AC entry is an error. ⚠ The Halo fascia is stocked only on the round listing. ⚠ The asymmetric optic has an orientation. ⛔ No warranty term is recorded — ask us.

24 V DC, and it needs a constant-voltage LED driver that is not included. Our record says 240 V AC and that is wrong. A 240 V version of the AURA does exist separately and the two look identical, so tell us which you want and we will make sure the right one ships.
No. This square listing carries five aperture designs — Narrow, Wide, Slot, Round Ring and Square Ring — and the Halo is stocked only on the round frame. If the Halo glow is the effect you want, it is the round frame. Otherwise both stock the same five, so the choice is purely how the trim reads on the wall.
Yes, by more than three times. At 4000 K the Slot gives 31 lumens and the Square Ring gives 11, with Wide at 30 and Narrow at 15. Use Slot or Wide where the light has to reach a tread or a floor, Narrow for a tighter wash, and the Rings where the fitting is a marker rather than a light — the Square Ring in a square frame is the most graphic combination and the second dimmest.
Aesthetically, whichever suits the detailing — square trims sit well with square joinery and square-set plasterwork. One practical difference: a square trim shows rotation where a round one hides it, and on a run of step lights up a stair, seen all at once at close range, that matters more than it does on a ceiling. Set them out to a level line.
It throws the light forward and down rather than in a symmetric pool, which puts light on the tread ahead rather than the riser below — and that is why a step light works where an ordinary miniature downlight does not. It also means the fitting has an orientation and must go in the right way up; we will confirm that with the order.
Typically 200 to 300 mm above the tread, though it depends on the geometry. Too high and it becomes a glare source at eye level on a stair, which defeats the point of a low-level fitting. Tell us the stair or corridor arrangement and we will suggest a height and a spacing.
No — IP20, dry interiors only. Worth checking against your drawing, because step lights are often specified for external stairs and this one is not rated for it. Ask us and we will point you at a weather-rated alternative.
