Scoop-Trio - Round 13W/25W Adjustable Led Tri-Colour Dimmable Downlight 240V - Trio

The Domus SCOOP is a single-point COB adjustable downlight in black or white — 13 W or 25 W, 60° beam, 45° tilt, switchable 3000 K / 4000 K / 5000 K, in TRIO or DALI.

Why a single-point COB, and what “scallop” means

The datasheet makes an unusually useful comparison: the reflector “behaves in much the same way as a standard 50 W halogen lamp does, with the favourable scallop style illumination”. In practice:

• A single point source throws a defined beam with a clean edge, the way halogen did — not the flat, shadowless wash of a multi-chip LED panel.
• Scalloping is the arc of light a directional downlight paints where its beam meets a wall. Aimed at a wall in a row, the arcs repeat and become a deliberate rhythm. It is the effect people liked about halogen and lost with early LED.
• ⚠ Scalloping is only a feature if you intend it. Random aiming near walls gives random arcs, which reads as sloppy.

The 45° tilt — and how to use it

• Wall washing — a row set back from a wall, all aimed at the same angle, and evenly spaced. This is where the scallop effect earns its keep.
• Art and joinery — a 60° beam is contained enough to light a specific thing.
• Around obstructions in a raked or beamed ceiling.
• ⚠ Aim them at night before the ceiling is patched. Adjustable downlights are routinely installed and never adjusted.

The numbers

• 13 W: 780 lm at 3000 K, 880 lm at 4000 K, 870 lm at 5000 K — 68 lm/W.
• CRI ≥80, 60° beam, 50,000 hrs, aluminium, 147 mm deep.
• ⚠ IP20 — indoor and dry only. Not for bathrooms, not for eaves. Ask us about the AQUA range at IP65 for those.
• ⚠ 147 mm is deep. Check the ceiling void — this is not a fitting for a shallow space.

With a 60° beam, plan roughly 1.5 m spacing from a 2.4 m ceiling.

TRIO or DALI

• TRIO — fully mains dimmable with a suitable dimmer. The one for a house.
• DALI — addressable digital control, needing a bus and a controller.

• Wall washing and accenting, in rows — where the scallop is intended.
• Living rooms, galleries, retail and hospitality.
• Replacing 50 W halogen where the beam quality is missed.
• ⛔ Confirm 13 W or 25 W before cutting — the holes differ by nearly double.
• ⚠ IP20 and 147 mm deep — indoors, and it needs the void.

13 W: cutout Ø85–90 mm, face Ø96 mm. 25 W: cutout Ø160–170 mm, face Ø180 mm. Depth 147 mm, aluminium, black or white. Single-point COB, 45° tilt, 60° beam, CRI ≥80, 50,000 hrs. 13 W gives 780 / 880 / 870 lm at 3000 K / 4000 K / 5000 K switchable. TRIO (mains dimmable, suitable dimmer) or DALI. 220–240 V AC, IP20 — indoor and dry only. Warranty 3 years.
