Pico-3-Tilt Mini Round Led Tiltable Downlight

The Domus PICO-3-TILT is a 3 W tiltable miniature downlight in black or satin white — a Ø45 mm cutout, 210 lumens, a 24° beam, in TRIO or DALI.

✅ The tilt is what makes a 24° beam useful

A fixed 24° fitting points straight down and lights whatever is directly beneath it. Tilting turns the same beam into a tool:

• Display and object lighting — aim it at the thing, not the shelf. A contained pool with very little spill is what makes a display read as a display.
• Wall washing in a tight line — set them close to the wall and angle them, so the narrow cones overlap into a continuous band.
• Art and joinery detail — a 24° beam is precise enough to light a picture without lighting the whole wall.
• ⚠ Aim them at night, before the ceiling or joinery is finished. Tiltable fittings are routinely installed and never adjusted.

✅ The black model gives about 10% less light

The datasheet says so, and almost no manufacturer publishes it. A black reflector absorbs light a white one bounces: 210 lm from the white; roughly 190 from the black.

⚠ It matters if you are counting lumens across a run of cabinet or display lighting, or mixing the two finishes in one space. Choose the finish for the look, but use the figure that matches what you are buying.

⚠ 210 lumens — what it is and is not

• ✅ Display, cabinet, shelf and accent lighting — the job it was made for.
• ⛔ Not room lighting. 210 lm at 24° will not light a space; you would need a great many, and it would still look wrong. For general light, the BOOST or DECO.
• ✅ If 210 lm is not enough for a display, the PICO-7 gives 470 lm from a Ø50 mm hole — more than double, for 5 mm more cutout.

The numbers

• 180 lm at 3000 K, 210 lm at 4000 K and 5700 K (white model).
• 70 lm/W, CRI ≥80, COB, 50,000 hours.
• ⚠ IP40 — dust protected, no water rating. Indoor and dry only. The PICO-7 is IP54 from the underside if you need dust protection in a kitchen.
• ⚠ The top setting is 5700 K, colder than 5000 K, set before installation.
• Fully dimmable with a suitable dimmer, supplied with a micro-sized LED driver and flex-and-plug — ✅ essential, because a full-size driver defeats the point of a 45 mm fitting inside joinery.

TRIO or DALI

TRIO for a house, dimming from a suitable dimmer. DALI for addressable control on a bus — ⛔ it will not dim at all without a DALI system.

• Display and retail joinery — aimed at the object.
• Cabinet and shelf lighting where the light needs pointing, not just dropping.
• Tight-line wall washing, set close to the wall.
• ⛔ Ø45 mm — not the same hole as the fixed PICO-3.
• ⚠ IP40, indoor and dry only.
