The Domus PICO-3-TILT is a 3 W tiltable miniature downlight in black or satin white — a Ø45 mm cutout, 210 lumens, a 24° beam, in TRIO or DALI.
⚠ The tilt version needs a bigger hole than the fixed one.
| Fitting | Cutout |
|---|---|
| PICO-3-TILT (this one) | Ø45 mm |
| PICO-3 fixed | Ø35 mm |
| PICO-7 deep set | Ø50 mm |
Three PICO fittings, three different holes. If you are ordering a mix — some fixed in cabinetry, some tiltable for display — give your cabinetmaker or electrician all three figures before anything is drilled. This is the sort of thing found on site.
A fixed 24° fitting points straight down and lights whatever is directly beneath it. Tilting turns the same beam into a tool:
The datasheet says so, and almost no manufacturer publishes it. A black reflector absorbs light a white one bounces: 210 lm from the white; roughly 190 from the black.
⚠ It matters if you are counting lumens across a run of cabinet or display lighting, or mixing the two finishes in one space. Choose the finish for the look, but use the figure that matches what you are buying.
TRIO for a house, dimming from a suitable dimmer. DALI for addressable control on a bus — ⛔ it will not dim at all without a DALI system.
Cutout Ø45 mm (the fixed PICO-3 is Ø35 mm and the PICO-7 is Ø50 mm), tiltable frame, black or satin white. 3 W COB LED giving 180 / 210 / 210 lm at 3000 K / 4000 K / 5700 K switchable — ✅ the black model is about 10% lower. CRI ≥80, 24° beam, 50,000 hrs. Fully dimmable with a suitable dimmer; micro LED driver and flex-and-plug supplied. TRIO or DALI. 220–240 V AC, IP40 — indoor and dry only. Warranty 3 years.
Supplied and supported by Lights For You.
No. This tiltable version needs Ø45 mm; the fixed PICO-3 needs Ø35 mm, and the PICO-7 needs Ø50 mm. Three PICO fittings, three different holes — so if you are ordering a mix, give your cabinetmaker or electrician all three figures before anything is drilled.
It is what makes a 24° beam useful. Fixed, it lights whatever is directly beneath it; tilted, you can aim it at the object rather than the shelf, wash a wall in a tight line by setting them close and angling them, or light a picture without lighting the whole wall. Aim them at night before the ceiling or joinery is finished — tiltable fittings are routinely installed and never adjusted.
Yes, by about 10% — the datasheet says so and almost no manufacturer publishes it. A black reflector absorbs light a white one bounces, so the white gives 210 lumens and the black roughly 190. It matters if you are counting lumens across a run or mixing the two finishes in one space.
No. 210 lumens through a 24° beam is display and accent lighting — you would need a great many, and it would still look wrong. For general light use the BOOST or DECO.
The PICO-7 gives 470 lumens from a Ø50 mm hole — more than double, for 5 mm more cutout. It is the deep-set, anti-glare member of the family and is IP54 from the underside rather than IP40.
IP40 is dust protected with no water rating, so indoor and dry only. If you want dust protection in a kitchen, where a small aperture collects grease, the PICO-7 at IP54 from the underside is the better choice.
It comes with a micro-sized LED driver, which is essential — a full-size driver defeats the point of a 45 mm fitting inside joinery. You still need somewhere for it to sit, so plan that with your cabinetmaker.
